    Cool. I don't think one should fight like Whitaker if one isn't athletically gifted. He was able to break some rules and still come out ahead.

    But, one can pick up on subtle defensive moves by watching his films and get creative defensively.

    I don't think it would hurt to learn from his and other fighters' films.

    The idea is to learn something from the different styles and adapt something from each them to make them your own.

      Well, my experience taught me that your willingness to do something is directly proportional to your options. You are unwilling to work at McDonald's if you have a law degree.

      Pernell doesn't have PBF's athleticism. So moving around the ring the way that Floyd has in his last two fights wasn't an option that Pernell had. PBF can move around in the pocket - which is riskier - but why should he when he has the best feet in the game? Boxing isn't a test of balls, it is a test of skills.

      When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
