Floyd is a great fighter but not better then Leonard.

I am notoriously respectful of SRL's fighting abilities...and I am notoriously disdainful of Tommy Hearns' abilities. I may not be the person to ask.

Tommy is much bigger than Floyd....and I'm picking Floyd. But I am not in the least bit surprised if feather-dusting FMJ stops Hearns. Tommy's chin is ****.

SRl would whup PBF. I can just imagine how annoyed SRL is when he hears PBF shoot his mouth off about being better than him. Bottom line is PBF hasnt beaten anyone of real note in their primes yet.
SRL wouldnt have struggled with Castillo 2 times! But if PBF is the greater than SRL. IF Hatton beats PBF....how good must Hatton be then?

SRL turned pro at a higher weight than castillo generally fought... How is that indicative? SRL struggled with FMS. And Sr ain't the fighter his son is.

Leonard had the power to hurt Hearns, though Hearns outboxed the hell out of him. Floyd doesn't have Leonard's power; Hearns would beat Floyd by a wide margin; Hearns struggled with bigger guys

Did SRL REALLY struggle with FMS? What i remember of that fight is when SRL landed, FMS couldnt take it and fell apart and collapsed. I may remember wrongly as it is a while since i saw that fight, but i dont think im wrong on that.

Also a peak 30 year old SRL wouldnt have been taken to the wire on points against a very slightly over the hill DLH as well imo.
Im not saying SRL would destroy PBF and outclass him severly, but im saying on paper SRL is better than PBF. ANd PBF cant say with any kind of authority he is better than SRL. I dont think you can dispute that.

But you guys do understand that this is all speculation, correct? Obviously Floyd will never fight Marvin Hagler, SRL, etc, and even if we did have time machines, you still don't know what would happen in those fights. I guess I just never saw the big problem with saying you're the best if thats how you feel. If thats what you think, say the ****. Say it loud and say it often, **** it.

I know that I for one was real happy when Jay-Z stopped tip-toeing around the memory of Big and Tupac and just said "**** it I'm the best ever, excluding NOBODY." How is saying you're the best at what you do disrespectful to anyone? I swear, people get all worked up over the slightest display of ego.



P.S. Floyd should be considered an ATG solely based off the records he's broken thus far in his career. Who he is and isn't better than is still up for debate, but that shouldn't be.

Yeah Floyd was takin to the wire. Winning 8 rounds to 4 is slightly winning. Beating Oscar barely throwing combinations and barely breaking a sweat. SRL is better than Floyd though.

But its got a lot to do with mind games with PBF. IMO it is OK for him to say he is the greatest of all time, because he realizes noone else in the world is going to say it for him. So he has got to promote himself for his best interests for when he is gone.
PBF doesnt really know, or even think he is better than SRL. He would like to hope he is, and would like people to think he is. But there are a lot of things we dont know about PBF. We didnt know if he could really beat DLH,let alone know and think he is better than SRR or SRL.

Most definately! When you wear ***elry, you wear it to look better and if you feel that ***elry can make you better then you must be insecure. If you have bodyguards you are also insecure, that's what they are for, to provide security, no?
