I also want to say that since Pavlik beat Miranda, there's been a few nuthuggers running around here claiming to love Pavlik. And that if he loses against Taylor, they'll all be gone. I will continue to support Pavlik, win, lose, or draw against Taylor because I've been a fan of his for almost 2 years now.

Because I've given him chance after chance to prove to me that he wants to be the Champion.

Up until now, he's made it by doing the bare minimum. September 29th is gut check time, might be chin check time too.
Completely agree. He reminds me a lot of Floyd in the sense that it seems that he would rather protect his title than defend it, with the exception that Taylor will from tiime to time step in and trade. I really like and respect your topics Bringer. You always make good points and have good insight. Enjoy debating with you man.

You know, i think people are confusing Pavliks power with his workrate.

No doubt Pavlik has a good punch, but IMO, i wouldn't consider it a devestating punch.

The reason he has so many devestating KO's, is he breaks down his opponents so thoroughly both mentally and physically, by throwing nearly 100 punches a round, that they are primed and softened for the KO.

Thanks bro, appreciate it. I really thought Taylor was going to duck Pavlik for a while there. If you remember after the Spinks fight, right after he saw Pavlik annihilate Miranda, he was already getting the excuse in order. When Larry merchant asked him who he wanted next he first said it was up to Lou Dibella, then when Larry asked him direct about Kelly Jarmain said "whoever gives me the most money".

What are you talking about? So what do you call Winky and B-Hop? He didn't look overl impressive there either. He arguably lost one of the B-Hop fights and was backed up by the smaller Wright thats not known for his power, and had Wright not decided to take off the last round would have definately won, but taylor didn't do anything to win that round either. People want to give this guy chance after chance. After this much time, i don't think it is a coicidence. he is just not as good as he is hyped to be.

I wonder if Jermain Taylor is afraid of "ghosts"?

I dont think they will leave. They never left Arturo Gatti, Tapia, and they'll never leave Pavlik.

Win/Lose or Draw he delivers furious action that u wanna see over and over and over again. ANd plus, if he loses to Taylor Id still pick Pavlik easily over Abraham. TERRIBLE styles matchup for Abraham IMO.

me and one of my friends have been watching him for a while, and new he was gonna be a good prospect. I didn't know what to think before the Miranda fight, but he really impressed me. I should have known because he is the more technical fighter, that throws straighter punches, where as Miranda's are long and looping. Kind of like DeLaHoya vs. Mayorga. I think he has a really good chance in this fight, and I hope he wins.
