it tells me he is not the best boxer around which is the basis for this thread. If Oscar, someone who is certainly NOT EVEN CLOSE to an all time top-5 great, outperformed mayweather through 38 fights, what makes him and his nuthugging fans who agree with EVERYTHING he says think he is top 3?

I wasnt going to say it...whiteness = disadvantage I'll say no more...

Something I keep saying and people keep ignoring...floyd has the reach advantage...didnt you see him measuring Oscar all night?

Floyd knows what a challenge to him is...the problem isnt fighting someone who will HURT him when he gets hit, its someone who can actually HIT him to begin with! Power is a non-issue against floyd, if you can hit him decently you have a good shot at beating him.

mayweather ...but its not necessarily the gospel truth the way the huggerz claim it is. Let the man do what we know he can do to challenge the ATG spot, then lets give him props, but not before...

If Mayweather fights the caliber of opponents Oscar fought for his last 5, what results will we see?(he's taking a step in the right direction now)

The way I see it, Mayweather should not be fighting to become an all time great, he should be fighting first to earn his way out of oscar's shadow...then we can start talking. As of now, he hasnt proven anything when we have a warrior like Oscar standing right there.
I have said this more than once and I will say it again... Oscar made his money and his legacy off of fighting boxers that were smaller than he was, he didn't start to lose until he stepped up in weight and had to fight bigger stronger opponents... Floyd is a little dude and has almost always fought guys bigger than him as he has moved up in weight, his knockout percentage has gone down, yet he still remains undefeated... so who is the better fighter?

Or better yet who would you rather root for a big guy that fights little guys and doesn't talk **** because he knows that he is fighting little dudes that he will surely beat... or a little dude that fights big guys and talks them out of the fight because he is so confident that he will beat them, no matter what size they are... I think floyd should do a reality show similair to that joes vs. pros show where all of you guys that bad mouth him so much can step in the ring with him and see what's really up... It's funny how the fans of the fighters he beats have more to say about floyd than the actual fighters... There has only been one fighter that wanted another fight with floyd after losing to him and he lost even worse the second time... Don't you think if floyd was all talk more of his opponents would be bad mouthing him... Oscar said floyd ran, but he doesn't want to rematch him, why is that..If a man is running from you he surely can't hurt you, so why wouldn't you want to fight him again?

because in boxing, tall aint all....reach and speed are !!!

he doesnt want to rematch him because he doesnt want another embarrassing track performance for boxing. By the way, I think mayweather couldve probably TKO'ed OScar that fight he way he wore him down in the late rounds...the fact he never even tried to cement his win shows he deserved a loss.
