    Triangle theories are ******.

The one that made me laugh the most:

Ricardo Mayorga beat Vernon Forrest (twice).

Vernon Forrest beat Shane Mosley (twice).

Shane Mosley beat Oscar De La Hoya (twice).

Doesn't that mean Ricardo Mayorga should destroy Oscar De La Hoya (especially because each fighter beat the next twice)?

How'd that theory hold up when it was tested?

Better still what's their Triangle Theory for Vargas vs. Mayorga?LOL.

How'd that theory hold up when it was tested?
Exactly. Wonder if that person put Money on Mayorga against DLH?

That was actually what Mayorga said... so, I doubt it. They mentioned it when they are fighting... they gave the triangle, and said, "Ricardo Mayorga is finding out it doesn't quite work that way tonight."

Hey, you should watch it... I love Mayorga, but it was still fun watching De La Hoya crush him.

              De La Hoya:

              6-7 tough fights

If Mayweather fights the caliber of opponents Oscar fought for his last 5, what results will we see?(he's taking a step in the right direction now)

The way I see it, Mayweather should not be fighting to become an all time great, he should be fighting first to earn his way out of oscar's shadow...then we can start talking. As of now, he hasnt proven anything when we have a warrior like Oscar standing right there.
              sounds like a hater
ok so what were the gift decisions??
floyd vs castillo 1 and floyd vs oscar?
sorry floyd beat both of them
              the castillo fight was close
but the oscar fight wasnt floyd won 8 rounds to 4
u act like floyd fights bums
the guys he ends up fighting are good fighters at the time and a majority of people pick the other guy to beat floyd
but floyd wins regardless of the circumstances

i like oscar and he was robbed in the mosley fight and in the trinidad fight but he's been given gift decisions too
his fight against sturm and his fight against whitaker

so in reality floyd doesnt have to fight to earn his way outta oscar's shadow
floyd is known for winning his big fights while unfortunately oscar has lost most of his big fights

It is true that he doesn't have to get himself out of Oscar's shadow... but unfortunately, it also does take something away from his win over Oscar. If Oscar never wins his big fights, how great is he really? By not having to get out of Oscar's shadow, it takes away from Floyd's legacy.

I've only seen the fight once and that was live, so I should revisit it.

not true, oscar's legacy was 140-154 floyd s legacy is 130-154. we all know oscar failed to beat the best at 147 (trinidad, mosley) and 154 (mosley, wright) floyd is about to face one of the best fighters of his generation in hatton and the winner of cotto/mosley will seal the deal.
