But I doubt Morales would be a better boxer than Barrera, Barrera wouldn't have let Zahir Raheem jab his face off for 12 rounds that's for damn sure.

Don't get me wrong, I love "El Terrible" a lot. I'm just saying Barrera is clearly the better of the two. And the reason why everybody praises Barrera and ranks him among Mexican greats and one of the greatest of his era is because he's done more than enough to earn it. He's been mowed down, flattened, forgotten and written off yet he still continues to thrive and move forward through the adversity.

Barrera is an all time great in my eyes.
    i agree with this statement...

    MAB > Erik..

i just happen to like Erik more than MAB...

Erik Morales has always been one of my favorite fighters, but I do not dislike Barrera, he's obviously one of the best fighters in the division, and has given Morales problems in their span of fights. Overall i'd have to say Morales.

I can go up to 10K, I try not to exceed 10K on any fight so I have more points to bet with on other interesting fights. I'm not nearly as rich as you. If you want 10K put it in your sig and I'll do the same.

HBO did a story on this, when Barrera's little sister was kidnapped for ransom or there was an attempt to kidnap MAB's sis, that's when it was revealed who MAB's dad was.

In a way I give more props to MAB, because how many rich kids do you see in boxing and reach the status that MAB has(MAB didn't have to take a licking to put food on the table, he could've easily have said screw this I'll work for Daddy). Fighters who were or are poor and become successful in the fight game are plenty. There's a good number of fighters throughout boxing's history who have had real-life "Rocky" stories.

I like Barrera and he's the better fighter! I'm glad I was at the Barrera - Naz fight. I, like many fans didn't give MAB a chance. Not too many fighters can switch styles in the middle of their career like Barrera has.
this is what has always intrigued me about barrera, he actually NEVER had to fight, he came from a wealthy family, could have been a lawyer, did not have to lace up boxing gloves and take a risk in getting a beating in a boxing ring, barrera did not need boxing to survive or to put money in his pockets, or food on the table, this is what had fascinated me about barrera, he truly loves the sport of boxing. he has done so much in his career and is an all time great and a mexican legend and is up there with the best of them.

i have always put barrera above morales when it comes to comparing these 2 fighters, both fighters have impressive resumes, both are 3 weight world champions, and both fighters are legends. the thing that sperates barrera from morales for me, is there trilogy. barrera came out 2-1 and for me this makes barrera the better fighter. people might say but morales beat junior jones and pacman, opponents barrera got beat by, but in saying that barrera has still beaten top opponents, and has the chance to beat pacman, which wont be easy. i think if barrera beats pacman, especially at this late stage in his career, i think there would be no room for debate about barrera being better than morales.

barrera for me is the best small fighter in boxing over the last 10 years, he always comes back from adversity/defeats stronger, and has many styles when it comes to boxing. i also think morales has struggled to come back from his recent defeats, raheem, pacman and recently diaz. barrera on the other hand, picks himself up and comes back better.

i like morales too, but i have always been a big barrera fan.

Morales - Barrera I - I was rootin for MAB and felt he won it

Morales - Barrera II - Was still rootin for MAB and happy that they gave it to him. i think Morales shudave won.

Morales - Barrera III - Didnt see it and didnt care about it that time because my wife is in the delvery room for my 2nd baby.

Now i think i like Morales more because he is a 'true' warrior. Barrera always fights dirty ( Intentional Head butts, Hitting after the bell/break) when he's not controlling the fight. while Morales always fought clean whatever the situation is.

i was rooting for MAB on their 3rd fight ...

the stories i read on their rivalry picture Erik as the angry man the anti hero...

but its later that i found out the like what bro miron said... Erik is more the hero cuz he fights CLEAN...

no roughousing no intentional illegal moves ... (see mab vs hamed, pac & jmm)

although I think Marco is TOUGHER than Erik and slightly better, I like Morales better ...
