Were Tszyu and Castillo Shot When Hatton Fought Them?

Yes, I think so, Jose Luis had no rythem to his punches, and his movement didn't look fluent at all.Comment

I don't think Castillo was shot, hes always been slow in the first few rounds of almost every fight hes ever been in. The word "Shot" gets banded about to much, Gatti in his last fight was "Shot".Comment

Castillo won his last 3 fights going into the Hatton fight, knocking Corrales out on the way (contraversially) and beating a undefeated prospect at 140 and not being up for the fight. Castillo always starts slow and has never been up for "smaller" matches, he just does enough in them. Castillo wasn't shot he came into the fight after round 3, Hatton landed a fantastic body shot the round after and broke his ribs. Im sick and tired of hearing this fighters shot ****, shot fighters are people like a recent Gatti & Mitchell.Comment

I think Raesaad said it best. Whether Kostya was shot or not, he wasnt the same as he had been years before. He was at that age where there was the possibility of a dropoff from one fight to the next, so there's no way of knowing for sure if the term 'shot' applies or not, though I'm guilty of using it for him.Comment

Yes on Castillo... he just looked awful the whole time. He never had his balance, nothing.
Tszyu wasn't shot, but he probably decided that he could never get back to where he was after that loss, because he was getting on in years, so that is why he retired in my opinion.Comment
