In what way does Hatton overmatch Floyd?
Your looking at the wrong way. This isnt a video game where everybody has like 66/100 power to 72/100 etc..

Hatton's strengths counter well Mayweather's which is why it's a good matchup.

      Please tell us.
I'm just saying that Cotto or even Mosley have proven to be better than Hatton so far. Why call out or fight the one (Hatton) that is not the best out of these 3. Beating Cotto would put him on the place he says to be. Let's face it, he fought a declining DLH, a decent but not great Judah and some others that could not beat the likes of DLH, Trinidad, Mosley, Vargas, even Forrest. So can you (and I'm not saying you are) call Mayweather the greatest without beating the greatest? I don't know.

How would that be possible considering Hatton beat better fighters than Cotto did?

there's a bout as much of a chance of it happening as there is that paulie malignaggi will knock his next opponent out cold.

Am I the ONLY one on this board thinking that because of

                1) Hatton's ability to close the distance
                2) his handspeed and volume of punching
                3) his relative size to Mayweather (which will not make Floyd fight only on the defensive like he did against Oscar or Baldomir)

Mayweather will HAVE TO stand toe to toe and throw more punches more than in any of his recent fights

                ?

As much as I do not like Floyd, why the hell would he do anything other than what he does best? This isn't like a game where you play with your wife and you play easy to let her feel like she is doing good. This is a man's sport, you go in there to win. If Floyd goes in there and makes Hatton look like a bum for 12 rounds like I'm sure he will, then thats Hatton's problem.

The underdog would be the one to change his game to try to beat the better guy.

no because zab was faster than hatton, oscar i belive is faster. oscar is stronger than hatton, and oscar was bigger then floyd. floyd might be bigger than hatton makeing it easy for him to box him all night

Unseen, man. Stop calling people silly names over the computer. It is kinda childish. And you wouldn't do it in person, so it kinda makes you look like a coward also. Grow up.
