Normally I will go with the American fighter though, I just wish Floyd was worthy of the mantle.

no way he goes toe to toe for the first few rounds. The thing is though, the guy is a complete piece of **** and made of pure evil. So the only reason he would come out of his infuriating piece of **** retirement is because the fans and press really got to him about being such a ***** and having no balls in the ring to try and FIGHT a little bit, which is all anyone could ask. Its not like Shane Mosley or Bhop are these great GAtti-esque warriors, yet they never took flak because they at least attempt at some point to hurt their opponent or win decisively.

Anyhoo, because Floyd feels like he has something to prove after all the **** he took, and because this fight is a complete physical mismatch, and BECAUSE Hatton is worthless at 147, Floyd MIGHT go toe-to-toe in the LATER rounds when Hatton is CLEARLY gassed.

Clearly, you are a new fan of the sport. Welcome aboard. Please go watch any of Floyd's fights at 140.

BTW, Floyd will be the same size/smaller than the 140 guys Ricky has fought. PBF was 148 on fight night vs. Oscar. Graham said that weight is not a factor.

Ricky can come in at 139, 142, 145 or 147. Whatever weight he feels strongest/fastest/most comfortable.

I do not believe that Hatton CAN go toe-to-toe with Floyd.

It is my belief that Floyd is not only the quicker-handed man, but also the STRONGER man. That combination is bad news for Hatton.

Go watch any of Floyd's fights at 140.

His reasons for not going toe to toe with Oscar and Baldo were because they were much bigger than Floyd. Hatton and Floyd are pretty much the same size. I think if he chooses to stick to his "hit and run" style against Hatton, a smaller man, he will hear boooo's from the MGM to NYC.

It would be nice to see that. Unfortunately floyd is gonna use the style that better suits him for the win. If trading with hatton is the key to victory he will use it. If not he'll use another approach. He's not the type of fighter that will put himself in danger just to please the crowd. I don't think he will go toe to toe throughout the whole fight, but I think he will be more offensive in this fight than with DLH.

As a matter of fact, yes i did boo SRL during the Duran rematch. In my eyes it seemed as if SRL knew he couldnt beat Duran, so he chose to clown around instead of fighting. As far as Pernell, he was a defensive wizard who made u miss while standing right in front of you, then made u pay. He didnt run around the ring pot-shotting all night.

Anyways... everyone, stop complaining about Floyd not going toe-to-toe. It's not an impossibility that he won't, for one. But also, even if he doesn't... it's called using strategy. By not fighting Ricky's fight, he gives himself a better chance to win the fight.

Does anyone get pissed when they watch football because a team runs the ball if they enjoy Hail Mary passing plays? I doubt it, because the first and foremost goal of any competition is to win. That's all there is to it, anything else is secondary.

That being said, Dios Dominicos is dead on about Floyd being able to fight toe-to-toe... especially at 140. He did it in every fight he fought at 140... and considering he is fighting Hatton who is moving up from 140, it's a decent chance that that will happen again. He chased Judah and Sharmba Mitchell down and unloaded combinations on them all night (except for the first few rounds with Judah... it's called a feeling out process, everyone does it, get over it). That means 2 out his 3 fights at 147 were somewhat toe-to-toe. The only one at 147 that he didn't fight like that was against iron chinned Baldomir, which he claimed he hurt his hand in.

Seriously though... stop commenting on Floyd if you haven't seen more than 2fights in his career. I haven't seen more than 2 fights of Ricky Hatton's, and I rarely say anything about him, because I am not qualified. It'd be nice if everyone else did the same.
