Will Mayweather stand toe to toe with hatton?

no way he goes toe to toe for the first few rounds. The thing is though, the guy is a complete piece of **** and made of pure evil. So the only reason he would come out of his infuriating piece of **** retirement is because the fans and press really got to him about being such a ***** and having no balls in the ring to try and FIGHT a little bit, which is all anyone could ask. Its not like Shane Mosley or Bhop are these great GAtti-esque warriors, yet they never took flak because they at least attempt at some point to hurt their opponent or win decisively.
*end rant*
Anyhoo, because Floyd feels like he has something to prove after all the **** he took, and because this fight is a complete physical mismatch, and BECAUSE Hatton is worthless at 147, Floyd MIGHT go toe-to-toe in the LATER rounds when Hatton is CLEARLY gassed.Comment

Oh my god... please tell me you aren't faulting someone for being more cautious in the first round than they would be in the later rounds. I mean, all this **** you are saying does take away from the action, but it is strategic... and waiting til the middle rounds of a fight to start hurting someone is not a rare tactic only used by Mayweather. Pretty much everyone else uses it too, except for people like Barrera or Morales.no way he goes toe to toe for the first few rounds. a ugly and rough fight is the best way to fight mayweather. it doesn't let mayweather look like he's not struggling in the ring with a guy, that is why castillo had a leg up on mayweather when they fought and castillo should've gotten the nod, but that is old news.
but in relation to that, a rough and tumble fight is what is going to be needed to make floyd fight outside his comfort zone. yeah floyd can fight inside and outside, but he has never had to fight inside all fight long and when he did twice against castillo, it looked like he lost, although floyd diehards and the in the pocket judges didn't think so, but to the boxing enthusiasts they saw it a different way. anyways that's old news, but the fact of the matter is, a rough and tumble fight is what is the best approach to beating floyd, and hatton is full of that. being an all in action fighter is what hatton does, now if hatton can sustain that kind of action, that kind of fight, and deal with what mayweather gives him, hatton can break down the walls of modern thought that pertains to floyd mayweather.
it's been said thousands of times before, styles make fights, and with these two styles of fire and ice, hatton's style can, not saying will, but can beat mayweather's style. it all just boils down to the elements. is hatton physically prepared? can hatton keep up the attack? can hatton take what mayweather is going to dish out? can hatton stay focused and not fight floyd's fight? can he make mayweather make his own mistakes? and can he capitalize on them?
and the same goes for mayweather, it's not like hatton is easy pickens and he's going to let mayweather take his lunch from him. it's not like hatton is going to go in the ring to lay down.
the thing i like about this fight is, that when both guys are faced with supposedly their toughest opponents they rise to the occasion and usually dominate, i'm curious to see who rises higher to win this fight.
as for mayweather standing toe to toe with hatton, no he won't, if he does it's only to get out of that immediate situation so he can go back to shuffling backwards and pot shotting all night long, bouncing off the ropes, from one side to the next.
this is the thing that i see a lot when guys fight floyd, mayweather gets them to chase him, floyd gets his opponent to go after him, come forward, committing body weight, which leaves them open and lets floyd hit and get out the way. floyd gets everyone to do this, not one of floyds does he go after the guy unless he has them hurt or stunned. and i think that is key in this fight, if hatton falls into that trap unless he is uber relentless he's going to fall into floyds trap. i think that to expose floyd for not being aggressive and to make him fight outside his comfort zone i think that hatton or any of floyds opponents should make floyd come forward and make floyd be the aggressor. let floyd commit body weight in his forward attack. if that were to happen, as i said, it would expose floyd for not being an aggressor and would show people how floyd doesn't bring the fight, he lets it come to him. i think a mix of rough and tumble fighting as well as let floyd chase you down is a combo that doesn't mix well with mayweathers style and approach to fighting and it's something that none of his opponents have done in their fight with floyd and used it as strategy............................
floyd doesn't fight toe to toe, it's not his bag. he'll be the first to tell you, and when he says that he's going to go toe to toe it's just to sell tickets through lying. just like politicians say they're going to lower taxes if elected, it's a lie in order to get what they want, duh!!!...............Comment
