When did Oscar become this exciting fighter?
Originally posted by FightNight 2007 View PostPeople respect action fights more than boring fights. You can be tactful and exciting at the same time. DLH did it, Mosley did. Floyd talks **** and doesn't back it up so that is why people won't hold him high.
I've always said boxing historians will ignore his fights in 20 years and look at Gatti, DLH, Mosley first.
Jeez. How much higher can people hold him?
Gatti-Ward was ten years ago. How many times have you gone back to watch it? AND I WOULD BET THAT YOU HAVEN'T SEEN GATTI-WARD 2&3 more than once or twice.
Do you go back and watch Oscar-Shane 1? What other Shane fights are you pulling out on DVD? The Estrada fight? The Adrian Stone scrap? His bout with Phillip Holiday? Was Hopkins-Delahoya exciting? Was Trinidad-Delahoya exciting? Castillejo? Sturm? YoryBoy? Dude. You are exaggerating.
The only time Oscar is in an exciting fight is when he has a beatable punching bag (Yeah, Fernando. I'm looking at YOU...) in front of him. And PBF was not going to be that.

If he gets beaten, he won't go down as a great.
I talk to other boxing fans and they say stuff like this. Which makes me think that they either a) don't understand the sport, or b) just started watching boxing on May 5th.
Was PBF-Corrales boring? PBF-Manfredy? PBF-Corley? PBF-Gatti? PBF-NDou? PBF-Judah? PBF-Chavez? etc..
Where were you - as a knowledgeable fan - when Floyd was a B.A.D. fighter?
