You have to remember the Penalosa that you saw against Ponce De Leon and tonight against Gonzalez is a shell of himself, a 35 year old version, he doesn't quite have the same speed and explosiveness like he used to, he's past his prime, yet still kickin' @ss, can't say the same about the younger MAB and EM!! 35 years old and BEAT a legitimate a world champion!! Can't say that about MAB and EM, they simply quit.
How the hell you going to compare this fool to Barrera and Morales?! Penalosa's resume is garbage comepare to MAB and EM, Didnt he fight most of his fight in the Phillipines?

no. he won belts before jhonny had pubic hair he fought internationally but has only been fighting in the states lately since it has only been recently that pinoy boxers have been given a chance to fight in the states.

Talk about a lucky shot. I guess that's why everyone's got a puncher's chance because Gonzalez was dominating the fight. I had him winning every round and he was winning the last round, too, until he just got caught.

Ive only seen the Ponce KO1.

Cheers to Gerry's WIN he deserved it!! at last he got 'lucky'.

3 controversial split decision losses to In jo Choo and Tokuyama in Korea is really frustrating.

Its only lucky if he meant to do something other than what the purpose of that punch served. It served its purpose well for Gerry. Reminds me of Forman vs. Moorer. No lucky punches in boxing just unlucky targets.
