I think it's questionable, whats definately not questionable is that Gerry doesn't have a weak chin like Bautista's.

        Yeah. Gerry deserves credit.

        as for Bantam:

Mabuza is going to take over 118 pounds. After I saw how durable he was taking the beatings from Rafa, coupled with his skill, work ethic and years to come in boxing he's going to be a force. He's around the peak of his career right now and losing to a Rafa who was struggling even to make 118 doesn't mean anything to me.

I hate when people say "lucky" punch, If the guy threw it Im sure he meant on it doing damage. Good win for Penalosa and Great night for the Pinoys winning the World Cup.

By the way Im Glad Ponce was able to let us Mexicans atleast walk out with our heads held up high.

Because the supposed "arm punches" De Leon throws that knock people out didn't even phase him remotely. He's a tank.

He's dangerous because he's a good counter puncher and very durable Penalosa is. But I still say he's a bit limited, and I don't think he'd be able to repeat the kind of performance he had tonight in the future.

Maybe, we'll see. But I think he'd have some problems with someone like Mabuza who would give him punching angles.
Just how is Penalosa limited? The only thing "limited" about Gerry Penalosa is his height! Gerry has beautiful counters, tight defense, speed and every punch in the book!! You obviously never saw Penalosa in the early to mid 90's, he was really fun to watch, too bad Johnny Tapia wanted none of it.

You have to remember the Penalosa that you saw against Ponce De Leon and tonight against Gonzalez is a shell of himself, a 35 year old version, he doesn't quite have the same speed and explosiveness like he used to, he's past his prime, yet still kickin' @ss, can't say the same about the younger MAB and EM!! 35 years old and BEAT a legitimate a world champion!! Can't say that about MAB and EM, they simply quit.
