Bautista has a supreme horrible chin as we saw vs Medina and Leon isnt great either but if any of these two guys can be called prospect and and Contender maybe ,its De Leon, hes the main focus of this event, even though the best fighter is on the undercard, which is Jhonny Gonzales

im going with Bautista by knockout. He couldnt knock out Medina because Medina is tough as hell and has a concrete chin but Bautista is very heavy handed with lots of power and solid boxing skill. and De Leon is not that great so i will say Bautista by 9 round TKO.

I remember when Miguel Cotto faced another undefeated fighter named Ricardo Torres. When Bautista fought Sergio Medina with 27 wins and 0 loses at that time, he was facing a hella good opponent that did not know how to lose.

Ortiz is a good fighter. Viloria timed him right. Ortiz was a champion and you can't judge him based on being koed by a well timed punch IN THE FIRST ROUND. If he fought Viloria in a rematch I bet Viloria would'nt be as lucky.

When I see Daniel Ponce De Leon, I almost feel like he's insulting boxing with the way he fights. He misses and spins around and does all this weird stuff that seems amateurish. But he's tough as nails and can punch if given a free shot and has been in with good opposition.

Boom Boom is the superior athlete in my mind, but hasn't been in tough enough. His last fight I felt was a good learning experience, though he's still a work in progress. He showed a lot of heart in getting off the canvas to come back and drop his foe, but has shown a vulnerability to str8 punches. His problem is that he's a one-track fighter. He only looks for the kamikaze assaults ala Manny Pacquiao.

It's a tough call, so I won't make a pick. If a gun was to my head, I'd say Ponce given his better opposition.

Viloria is only strong in the first two rounds. Slugging with Viloria in those rounds is just dumb. Ortiz was hurt before the KO though.

Juanma Lopez said he wants to make a tune-up in Novemeber and then fight the winner of this fight around March.

Ponce De Leon throws too many shots, he'll win, I'm not sure of the outcome, but it's more likely to come by knockout.

de leon's power is overrated. he couldnt even KD a very small opponent in penalosa. bautista i believe has ;easrned from the medina experience and im sure the kid listened to gerry and freddie's instructions in the gym. bautista by KO.
