Is there a huge difference between slipping up briefly and throwing an illegal punch and slipping up briefly and walking into a punch and losing by KO?
The rule that he broke was hitting a man when he was down. Repeat: Montell was down. Roy had taken over the fight and it was about to be over anyway.

Since MG couldn't continue, I guess RJJ deserved the DQ.

But the rematch left absolutely no doubt. I had never seen Roy that determined.

Golota was winning both times against Bowe, too; staying within the rules is part of the whole package.

Also, after the third Tarver fight, do you remember Roy being quoted saying he thought Tarver would have given him all kinds of trouble at any point in his career? I thought that was an interesting comment from a usually ****y competitor...

This is a matter of opinion, you can't educate anybody in here. Some people believe SRR was GOAT, some others don't, not too complicated...

If there was a way of knowing, I would bet 100$ now that he took the cheap way out.

            Griffin gets up,
Griffin looks around *with clear eyes*
            Griffin realizes what's going on
            Griffin dives down again.

It's a legit loss on Jones' records, no doubt, but definitely not one to hang a hat on

I already posted earlier that to my knowlege also Gans or Langford could have that accolade and others' too

Surely not Tommy Hearns, and just as surely Robinson wold have KOed Hearns.

You are now playing the "it's all relative" "no way to know" cards, only because you dont know enough abour the fighters discussed.

                  Ali
                  Whitaker
                  R. Jones Jr
                  Hagler
                  Aaron Pryor

Robinson? I never saw his fights, but maybe some old film will turn up.

Nicely put. He should keep quiet till he knows more.

It's just a highlight video on Robinson but.. in the beginning you see his amazing footwork drills, and the video is nicely done. Gives you an idea of his greatness.

                      Enjoy: http://youtube.com/watch?v=60GuoYpmbJo
