No one will ever know for certain, but from watching the old videos, Sugar Ray Robinson seems to me to be the best p4p ever.

Do you know that 99% of this forum haven't seen one single full match of Robinson???? You can say Robinson was the greatest p4p fighter of all time, but not the best, there's a difference...

got to be hagler.. he never lost a fight .. he was robbed twice in philly against philadelphia fighters early in his career and came back to knock both out one of um 2 times... and after what he did to hearns and mugabi i dont think nothing could of stopped him .. hearns was huge and probably out weighed hagler by 10 lbs.. back then emmanuel steward was the only trainer using the rehydrate weight advantage and halger took his best shot and knocked him out... hearns said he hit hagler with 15 knock out punches...

              also larry holmes...

In his prime, Cassius Clay was unbeatable ( before the long break...)

That's true. There is no possible way that anybody on this forum can call SRR the best fighter ever. His best years weren't even recorded on camera...

My personal vote is for Pernell Whittaker...
