debatable, maybe he hasn't... but who did glen johnson beat prior to putting RJ into a coma? Cintron is the hardest hitter at WW(or one of them), the first two things a fighter loses as they get old is their reflexes and their chin...

In the past 6 years Shane is 5-4-1 with his biggest wins being a questionable decision over Oscar and two wins over a shot Vargas. Prior to losing to PBF, Oscar was 4-2 the last 5 years with a highly questionable win over Sturm. Oscar is almost 35 and Shane is almost 36. Neither fighter has been considered a top P4P fighter in years and they’re averaging only about a fight a year. Yet somehow people wanted to see Floyd fight Oscar and now they want him to fight Shane. I don’t understand it. These guys are past their primes and on their last legs. I don’t even think Shane could beat Cintron or Pwill and Oscar is trying to get 140lb Hatton to come up and fight him. Both guys are at least 5-6 years past their primes.
Good thread so far. Thanks Guru.

I'm not going to address ALL points here but this one is valid right now.
Mosley is on the decline. People keep saying that DLH wasn't too far gone but look at his work rate in prior years (especially the early ones) and compare it to the Floyd fight.
Floyd CANNOT prove he's better than Mosley cause Mosley isn't what he was.
He should take on Cotto and Williams (and probably win) and any criticism would melt away. Cotto and Williams are atop the Welter division. They are young, hungry, busy and undefeated. Mosley was GREAT. Now he's good but that's it. Take on the best, not the come-back kids.

          Watch cintron's defence,

if he was more wide open he'd be a 2 dollar whore on sunset strip.

Ok lets say he hasn't beaten anyone better... does it matter? what about the rest that post :

I am in NO WAY saying Cintron is great or a P4P contender... but look at mediocre Glenn Johnson and what he did RJ... it's not impossible for one of the biggest, hardest hitting guys at 147 to KO a 36 year old veteran who hasn't had a quality win in over 7 years....

I dont think shane's last performace aganst collazo would lead us to believe he is about to get taken out by Kermit Cintron.
