Why don't you just watch UFC?
What does UFC have to do with it?

Sure I'll take Frazier over Ali, Duran over Leonard anyday. And Ali and Leonard aren't even defensive. But if we're talking personal preferences rather than attempts at unbiased opinion, I'll admit that if you take backwards steps I don't like you. That has nothing to do with the topic of this thread though.

You're right. Nobody is perfect. That is the hippy motto after all.

But guys like Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Ray Leonard, and FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. are the closest things to it.

Try to keep emotions out of it for once, hippy. This is a boxing discussion. You should be hugging me anyway. Since I'm here and you're there, just hug a tree and tell him your sob stories about the government and how it's so evil.

In the meantime, if you want to talk boxing, let's keep this argument rolling. I do have a meeting until 3:00, but then I'm right back, both guns blazing. Try not to take stabs at my back while I'm gone.

Robinson maybe, but Mayweather throws too few punches and has too little power to be put in THAT class.

Duran belongs in it much more than does Mayweather

Do you even realize that Mayweather spars like 15 5 minute rounds? People never even consider that he saves his punches in case he needs them. I'm sure if he was in a firefight, he'd last longer than his opponent. It's called economical. When you continuously land 50% of your punches, you don't really leave room for criticism. Grab a kleenex and try again.

Somewhat of an oversight though. He did have fair power...he just didn't showcase it regularly at the risk of getting hit/hurt himself.

He knocked out a champion in a unified title fight with one punch.

Pernell put TOUGH fighters on their asses and knocked out bigger opponents as well. He dropped Pineda to a knee with a brutal body shot. He put Rivera on his ass, put Haugen on his ass, knocked out Hurtado and Jake "The Snake" Rodriguez.

His KO ratio is a bit misleading.

Mayweather Vs. Roy Jones Jr. The Great

Roy fought eveyone in his time that was worth fighting. He's done things that simply no one has done. Mayweather is a great fighter but you can't compare the 2 at all despite his undefeated record. Now if somehow moved to light heavy or supermiddle weights and won a title then he would be in the same category. And trust me Roy Jones Jr. fought everyone in or around his weight class. Mayweather fights for money and roy does too but its apparent that mayweather does it just for the money. The guy retired at 31? Come on, he's full of **** and we all know it. He's simply holdin out until he can find a big fight. Hes not like a true champion should be holdin down his class. All the greats did that. They fought the toughest fights out there. You look at him now-gonna fight Ricky Hatton ? What the hell? We all know he will dominate, and the public demands him to fight Sugar Shane Mosley. Look at the 2.....they match up way better and mosley is just as fast and definitely stronger and also beat de la hoya twice. And he was by far the best fighter mayweather has ever fought til this date. And it wasn't a split dec. either. Mayweather says O I dont wanna fight a sparring partner? Thats bull crap.....lol. Roy Fought all the big names and he did it handily. So before you get on here, please know what you're talkin about people.

dude what are you honestly on??

no comparison... please, thats just sick

You can put floyd as high as you want.. but when it comes down to it he cant do near what roy did in that ring... Floyd never dominated in that fashion so consistently.. Roy only lost just a handfull of rounds until his 1st fight with tarver...

I like Roy but I like PBF way more. For you to say Roy fought everyone in or around his weight class is complete bull****. For years that was the knock on Roy he is fighting policeman by day fighters by night. He wasn't even fighting fulltime fighters you the one who needs to know what they are talking about.
