Looks like Floyd won't fight Shane even if Mosley fights for free.
This is what he will be remembered for.
De La Hoya did the same thing, as Beauty pointed out, but he had to change his act. Why? Because he was referred to as Chicken De La Hoya.

If he made that insanely much money in the DLH fight, then how come he needs the same amount now?
      ****ing golddigger!

Ridiculous. Castillo is as much if not more of a HOFer than Hernandez. His resume, quality win for quality win, is better than Genaros.

yeah you could make a case for castillo, but genaro was a top superfeather during his time, i believe he made more than 10 title defenses.

Maybe, but his best win is an older Azumah Nelson. Castillo has Stevie Johnston, Joel Casamayor, Corrales and arguably the first fight against PBF (I had him by one point). 130 wasn't that great when genaro was there. 135 has been awesome during the Castillo years.

I have taken notice that some members are criticizing Mayweather's opposition, but none have told me the better wins that Mosley, Margarito or Cotto have.

Criticize Floyd...but who has Mosley beat?

It's not about who he has beat. It's about who he has fought.
Shane Mosley have fought the best he can. You can't criticize him for not being able to beat them all. At least he tried...

This sport is primarily WHO YOU BEAT. If it was just about "who you fought", then we would be talking about DeMarcus Corley and Jesse James Leija as "great".

Ike Quartey FOUGHT Fernando Vargas (the good version), Oscar Delahoya, Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright. Is he great? Is he Canastota-bound?

Also, please note that I did NOT criticize Shane Mosley's resume. I merely said that you need to apply consistent standards to Mosley's body of work as you do to Mayweather's.

I responded to that sentence, which I find contradictory. You can criticize Mayweather's opposition easily. You can not criticize his wins.
But you can't compare Mayweather's opposition against Mosley's wins.
You have to compare opposition vs opposition, or wins vs wins.

I've never said Mosley beat better opposition than Floyd, just pointing out that Mosley was never afraid to face the best.
And this thread was about Floyd being a ***** and prize himself out of any fight besides Oscar. Floyd will never have the respect of the fans if he avoids all the dangerous fights. That's what I meant.

Mosley have the respect of the fans, because he's no chicken-****.
Besides, I don't find Vargas, Forrest or Winky "great", so I won't say Quartey is great because he fought them.

You asked why people criticize Floyd, and I simply pointed out that he need to face the best, like Mosley did/does...
