wow talk about a double standard. how is it that merchant can be impressed with malignaggi running from ndou and floyd beating up baldomir and hoya in far more impressive fashion. HBO is determined to find a white hope to hang their hat on. Paulie is very limited as a fighter and the bias of the hbo crew towards one black boxer and the other a white boxer was very glaring, but not surprising.

Malignaggi threw about 3 times more punches than Floyd did against Oscar. Sure Mayweather is a bit slicker than Malignaggi, but when you throw as little as he does, it makes people wonder why he bothered showing up. Dirrell, same thing....sure, he did enough to win the fight, but not the crowd or boxing fans. It has nothing to do with the color of their skin, you ****ing moron. It has to do with their intent. I guess you didn't notice that Malignaggi was playing to the crowd, throwing combinations just to please them? That's the difference between Mayweather and him. I always got the impression that HBO was ready to jump on floyds **** until the baldomir fight, and the new attitude of bashing was cemented by the dlh fight, when the whiny ***** embarrassed Boxing, HBO, and Oscar by promising to put on a fight not a boxing match(which is not inherently a fight) and not delivering.

Malignaggi went for the KO like a true fighter and tested himself in the ring.

At this point Paulie may be exciting but I wouldn't put him in the ring with Floyd. Floyd's opposition May 5th was much better than Paulie's tonight.

The best fighters, the ones who win most of the time, aren't necessarily the most exciting to watch.

I want to see who wins Winky vs. Bernard, but is that really going to be a fun 12-rounds to sit through? Paulie brought more excitement in his loss vs. Cotto than Floyd has given us for years...
