anyway, the thread starter's an idiot and anyone who shares his sentiment gets the same label.

i'm extremely happy for paulie, he looked awesome in his victory over ndou and can't wait to see what a fight between he and hatton would look like; and i couldn't agree more with paulie's assessment of ndou having more in the tank, at this stage of his career than the castillo that hatton is fighting next month.

hatton would be a real rough fight for malignaggi. his jab was beautiful, however.

Malignaggi threw about 3 times more punches than Floyd did against Oscar. Sure Mayweather is a bit slicker than Malignaggi, but when you throw as little as he does, it makes people wonder why he bothered showing up. Dirrell, same thing....sure, he did enough to win the fight, but not the crowd or boxing fans. It has nothing to do with the color of their skin, you ****ing moron. It has to do with their intent. I guess you didn't notice that Malignaggi was playing to the crowd, throwing combinations just to please them? That's the difference between Mayweather and him. Mayweather couldn't give a **** less what the crowd or the fans think.

You are making no sense in that comparison, man.

First, Malignaggi has been fighting guys his size or smaller. Cherry was a lightweight, and NDou was the smaller man in the ring last night. Did you see the fight-night weight?

By contrast, Baldomir and Delahoya are 15-20 pounds bigger than Floyd. Why would you try to fight a much bigger man the same way that you fight a guy your own size? That would be a poor strategic move.

I notice that nobody was saying that PBF was a boring fighter or "a runner" when he was fighting guys his own size.

The reality is that when PBF was at 140, he was doing stuff that Malignaggi dares not try: he was walking guys down and hitting them with power shots and trying to stop them. He put Corley down a coupla times, he humiliated Gatti inside of six. He pummeled (P) NDou. He stopped Bruseles. And he walked Sharmba down and stopped him (at 147).

PBF is a 135/140 guy fighting at 154. You want him to stand in front of those guys? Be real.

another ridiculous thread...i'm so sick of people accusing hbo of being 'racist', sure they have there preferences on some fighters...but Malignaggi was great tonight, and I dont even like the guy and i still admit it! Floyd versus Baldomir was boring, just accept it. Floyd is known for his defense and he doesn't throw alot of punches because of his weak hands. Malignaggi wasn't 'running', when you are a BOXER with only 5 KO's he was keeping his distance against a fighter who had much more power than him and as the fight progressed was becoming more and more wreckless because Ndou knew he needed a KO to win.

We should really be trashing Ndou, he ran his mouth more than any fighter i've seen, calling out Gatti, Mayweather, Hatton, and never shut up and he just got his ass handed to him by Malignaggi.

Im the expert on this since most on here know that Floyd is my favorite and Paulie is maybe my 2nd favorite fighter and the guy Ive been boosting up when everyone hated on him until a few fights ago.

Merchant is a straight ass but he is fairly consistent. He ripped Floyd in the last 2 fights but he's given Floyd alot of credit in the past. Paulie didnt run tonight. He boxed well. His punches can be debated though. People say he threw 800 punches but 90% of them were jabs so its not like he was doing a whole lot more then Floyd except for flicking out a jab to keep the guy at bay. Floyd has a great jab but he doesnt throw it that much. I guess if Floyd kept the jab poppin in his last couple of fights then Merchant wouldve been ok with it.

He's still a idiot though because he forgets people's other fights. He always lives for the current fight. I dont think its fair of him to rip Floyd when in his previous fights Merchant thought he was fairly exciting. You act like guys cant have a off day or a day where they choose to fight differently. Floyd has 1 or 2 fights like that and he acts like Floyd does it in every fight. It also makes me mad because he rips Floyd instead of ripping guys like Oscar. It takes 2 guys to make a boring fight. Oscar was coming forward but he wasnt doing anything to make the fight. Look at Cotto or even when Floyd fought Zab. Floyd walked Zab down and landed a bunch of punches. Oscar couldnt do that to Floyd. People talk about what Floyd said but what about what Oscar & Roach said? They said they were going to make it a dog fight and Oscar would ruff him up. He didnt do ****. Trust me, I think Floyd would kill Cotto & Margarito but the way they fight would make it a fight. Thats why you have to rip Oscar also. I wont rip Baldy because he doesnt have the speed to change that

i hate floyd mayweather, he is an *******.

but he is an amazing boxer and even though people say he is boring i dont think he is that boring. imo pbf -dlh fight was a good fight, it wasnt exciting as we would expect, but it was a high level fight with amazing defense and counters of floyd, and a great tactic by dlh until he ran out of gas. i saw the fight with a friend that had never watched a whole boxing match, and although he expected more, he liked the fight.

a great example of a really boring fighter is spinks, or that fight on the undercard of cotto - judah, thompson against a white guy. that fight was a disgrace for boxing and im still wishing they remove that white guys liscense for the good of boxing.
