hatton isnt the best at 140.
Is Hatton Really a Better Fighter at 140 Than 147?

Nah,
Got stumped as well...
Who an earth could be thinking of....
Obviously not Mayweather, he'd spend 12 rounds running till he got pounded..
Cotto...he'd get Ko'd later on..
Castillo....on a good day he'd make a go of it...
Judah....no..only joking....
Erm...
No go on your going to have to tell us...
Should be a laughComment

I personally dont understand why people think Hatton is such a different fighter at 140, the competition at 140 isnt as good as 147 since mayweather left, but if you look at hatton's weight it doesnt make sense.
How can 7 pounds make such a difference to a fighter that is well known for being anything from 168-180 outside the ring?
Fact is hatton could make 147-154 with ease,
Compare this to mayweather, he weights 150 outside the ring, yet won the WBC title at 154, so he had to put on weight to move up,
Hatton didnt at all, because he comes down in weight to fight, he never has to gain weight, how is it easier for him to drop from 168 down 140, then it is to 147?
Surely he would feel better at 147 cos he wouldnt have to drain himself as much?
Hatton weighs at least 168 outside the ring and he wants us to believe that 7pounds is the difference between him being world class or not,
Im not saying the 7 pound difference doesnt affect him at all, but i dont think it makes a major difference.
And to answer the above, i dont care about ring magazine belt, it doesnt account for hatton not wanting to fight floyd at 140, whatever those rankings say, floyd is the best fighter at 140 pounds, and would beat anyone at that weight, as long as he can still make 140 ok.Last edited by Technical_Skill; 06-17-2007, 09:40 AM.Comment
