I did not vote because they both suck.

I hope both of them stay retired for ever.

Zab called out Floyd very publically on national TV/print in Feb 2005 after knocking out Spinks, wanting a superfight. Floyd was busy hiding during Gatti negotiations and then trying to get himself thrown into jail, so Zab fought a breezer against Rivera. Still no Roy after Gatti, so King schedules Baldomir, Floyd then schedules a confidence booster against Mitchell in Nov2005 and agrees to a Zab fight in April 2006. Floyd was 9 months coming to the table and it cost him the undisputed title and a superfight. Boxing 101.

Floyd fought 12 times from his first title, 11 title fights, 1 non title fight, until moving up to welt. Since then he's had 5 nontitle bouts, and 4 title bouts and thinks he's a middleweight. Yeah, gloss that up for him!
Ok, let this be the end of you.

      1) Saying floyd tried to get himself thrown in jail rather than make money fighting one of the biggest draws in boxing....Gatti. is laughable at best,

So your saying, floyd tried to get himself thrown in jail to aviod fighting gatti at 140?

But willingly fought De La Hoya in his 1st fight at 154 in a smaller ring, With de la hoya gloves and for a smaller % of the purse?

      L-O-L.

      2) Mayweather was never scared of judah why?

They boxed behind the scenes, who won? Mayweather, thats why they had beef in the 1st place, (According to mayweather) so how could floyd ever be scared of fighting judah? When they had already unoficially been in the ring?

      3) You do the maths,

      - First world title at 21 years old
-Ring magazine fighter of the year at 21 years old
      - 5 weight world champion
      - held the WBC title at all 5 weights
      - Unbeatean in 38 fights.
-Olympic Medalist (he got screwed and got bronze)

      No glossing over this.

mayweather is way better than roy jones, and roy jones, is my 3rd favorite fighter ever. floyd mayweather's resume and roy jones' resume get a lot of hate from people who really don't seem to understand good competition, so i will not touch on that, for it will do no good. people will think how they want.

let's talk skill level then. roy jones was as gifted as they come, possible the most gifted fighter of his generation. he could dip, dodge, and counter very effectiviely, but he was too unorthodox at times, which is why he got figured out eventually by good punchers. being unorthodx can throw your opponents off tremendously which roy did great, but once you get figured out, then only your gifts can help you. roy was a gifted athlete which made him so good. he was always in tiptop shape and had quick reflexes, but he looked sloppy a lot in his fights.

floyd mayweather was a more polished fighter than roy jones was. he did everything well. his footwork was great. his upperbody movment was great. he had great ring generaliship. he knew exactly where he was at all times, and used the ring very well. he was also the smarter fighter. he could win a round without being very active, unlike roy. floyd trained like a madman but his punch output was low but he was very accurate, more than roy jones. roy jones could throw punches at high speed that you never seen anybody throw. floyd mayweather polsihed his skills. roy just had gifts. mayweather had the better defense, because he was a defensive fighter, and he counterpunched better than roy did. roy beat his opponents by just confusing the **** out of them and then using his speed and power shots. floyd just frustrated the **** out of his opponents because of his intelligence and ring generaliship, and add to that his speed and great body positioning, which roy aquired also. floyd's punches were more precise, but roy thrw punches harder and with more authority.

both fighters were skilled in what they did, they were great at their art, but floyd was just a boxing virtuoso. it all depends on what you like in a fighter also, but floyd was the better p4p fighter. roy was hard to beat, but floyd was just damn near unbeatable. once somebody figured roy out, i knew he would lose eventually, because unlike floyd, who adjusted to his opponents better, roy relied on his athleticisim to win his fights. floyd was just a much smarter fighter with honed skills. his techniques were just brilliant, which is why even with bigger punchers, he was the favorite, because of how polsihed his skills were. he was just hard to hit, like whtaker, fast, like leonard, and had great ring savvyness like ali. floyd takes this one.

Jones is the more entertaining to the casual boxer so thats why a lot of people have voted for him. PBF is a textbook boxer but I won't vote for either due to the clashing of one of my favorite boxers and disputedly the best boxer in the game as of right now.
