Who was/is Better P4P Champ PBF or RJJ

I based this post of another thread i recently posted on, and it brought light to this galent question now brewing.... At there peak or prime between
Roy Jones Jr a former MW,SMW,LHW and HW champ and former 5+yr P4P champ... and Floyd Mayweather SFW, LW,JWW,WW and LMW champ as well as the regining 3+yr an running P4P champ... At there run for this coveanant boxing hiarche or title (P4P) who was better, who impressed more, whose resume stood out who was up-un-til and after they captured the title (P4P) better for longer? Who do you like more? Who do you think fought better?

While I'm not a particularly big fan of either, PBF squandered far less of his talent than RJJ did. While PBF passed up a lot of big opportunities in his career, he's still fought better people than RJJ. WITH a shorter career.

Be honest. RJJ only fought against 3 fighters that weren't crap (b-hop, tarver, and toney). 4 if you count ruiz (screw ruiz). I can name more decent fighters PBF's fought off the top of my head (Judah, DLH, Castillo, Corrales. Baldomir and gatti, while not exactly A or even B level fighters, are still better than the crappy calibur of opposition that RJJ usually fought).

No way! Griffin, Virgil Hill, McCallum, Clinton Woods.......are all as good if not better fighters than Baldomir, gatti, Mitchell and all PBF's other non-top 3 opponents.

BTW I would put rate PBF's win against Genaro Hernandez above his win against DLH.

              ? R U ****ting me?

First off, Mitchell is about the calibur of opposition that RJJ has mostly fought. I never brought up Mitchell.

Second, all those fighters you mentioned are nothing. Sorry, but none of those fighters ever were anything before RJJ kicked the crap out of them, and they haven't become anything afterwards. Baldomir beat judah (back when that actually meant something). Gatti was probably the best champion at 140 at the time that wasn't named ricky hatton. The quality of tomato can doesn't even compare. PBF used Prego, RJJ used the dollar store brand.

I'm feeling the general consensus that Mayweather had the better p4p reign. Mayweather surely passed up some potentially great fights but even while we were complaining about him fighting somone like Philip N'Dou, at least N'Dou was a professional boxer with some sort of reputation. RJJ was fighting part-time boxers that were cops and construction workers etc. for most of his figts. That is a total waste of a prime part of your career.

It's really hard to tell on this one.

Both knew how to blow right through the competition.

One retired at the right time to avoid going through what the other did but maybe too soon.
