btw, floyd was way better in his prime than roy, bar none.
Come on man..I love both of these guys but you can't be serious.

First of all, Roy has a better resume. Period. His victory over James Toney trumps any on Floyd's dossier. Furthermore, he won titles from 160 to heavyweight. That trumps everything there as well. Not to mention victories over 19 past or present champs, defending titles 19 times. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Against better opposition, Jones performed better. He went years without losing a round. So yes, he won more convincingly. Why is that statement dumb?

Finally, it's silly to tell us what may or may not happen when Floyd is 34-35. Ray Leonard is arguably better than both and he began losing at 28. What's your point? Yes Jones was KO'ed past his prime...so was Leonard. It is absolutely irrelevant. In fact, how many fighters were still on top at 35? Very few - and those who were accomplished nowhere near as much as Jones did prior to 35. Check your bias at the door.

Finally, whether Floyd is a gym rat or not is also irrelevant. It's what he does in the ring that counts.

Roy's resume is crap. Toney is the only elite fighter.

Unless I'm mistaken I don't think Roy ever won the cruiser title so no he did not win titles from 160 to HW.

John Ruiz, that was Roy trying to pull the wool over boxing fans eyes. Roy may have been the HW champ, but he went through Ruiz to get it, and that is not saying much.

Roy is Tommy Hearns with more speed and less power.

If you really think that P4P Roy had more power than Tommy than you are even more biased than I thought.
