damn that's funny, meldrick taylor got robbed? in my book, if you get knocked down and can't respond that is the means to stop the fight, no matter how maney seconds are left in the fight. chavez's face look normal while taylor's looked like he'd been hit by a mack truck. and by the time he fought randall he had how maney fights, about 80. he was past his prime, and he rematched and won. chavez fought the best of his generation and came out on top, always gave a good fight for the fans. so stop bashing chavez, he's a living legend, go hate on someone else, give jcc his due credit

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Meldrick was responding and could have easily lasted the last few seconds of that fight. It was a gift for Chavez.

cotto is a better all around fighter.. i wasnt sold on cotto until this year.. hes truly stepping up the comp and improving greatly as a fighter

He has the skills to be, Chavez had the skills and proved it over a great career, one I doubt(even if Cotto does become an ATG, which I think he can) Cotto can match.

Cotto is not a better version, just a slightly bigger version. P4P he had similar skills yes, you could even argue was more complete, but wasn't quite as good at what he does best(pressure fighting) as Chavez was and sure has a LONG way to go before reaching Chavez's accomplishments.
