Well those black people are sell-outs because all the black folxs I know were rooting for Floyd on Cinco De Mayo, they'd be fools not to and if anything, that would make their "race" look bad if he'd of lost on a Mexican holiday at their expense, not the **** talking. Oh, and anyone who thinks De La Hoya won or should have won is nothing more than a **** licker who doesn't know or even watches boxing and comes here to feign being an expert..Comment

Does this guy have a single fan of average or above aberage intelligence? Other than Easy I've yet to meet him.Comment

Call it what you want **** licker. While we're discussing 'average" intelligence though, maybe you should first learn how to spell average(not aberage).. Apparently a lot of Oscar's fans haven't passed ESL.. LOL!Comment

The fact remains; Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat Oscar De La Hoya and that will not change. I rooted for Floyd, but that is because I personally have never been a DLH fan and felt that Floyd was a better fighter.
I am a black woman and I did not root for him because he was black. I personally was disgusted when he was trash talking, but I appreciated a statement he made on the 24/7 and that was "I talk a lot of **** so I gotta' back it up". He's a tremendously hard worker and that is worthy of respect. He works hard at what he does and no matter what sentiments one has on his boxing style or him as a person, he is still UNDEFEATED! For a reason.
I think Floyd should have made the fight worth my $50, but oh well. He won and those who placed bets on him winning made a killing, I am sure.
Floyd won a fair fight. There is reall nothing else to say. I will say Oscar is a fan favorite because he's easy to look at. I know looks are important and when you are attractive, unfortunately in the shallow society we live in, looks make lie easier. I guarantee most of the women who like DLH only do because they think he is cute. Others like him because he is not threatening and does not ruffle many feathers. IMO.
Society likes people that can make them comfortable. Mayweather does not care if what he says makes you uncomortable, and that is why so many, black, white or otherwise despise him. He says what makes people uncomfortable.
Me, personally... I love it.Comment

Has anyone else noticed the results of the poll on the main page of boxingscene.com?
Only 40.8% of people think that Floyd Mayweather won the fight with Oscar De La Hoya, while 43% think DLH won. 16% think the fight was a draw.
One would have to conclude from this poll that it was not a decisive victory for Floyd Mayweather. If PBF cannot convincingly defeat a past prime De La Hoya, he certainly would have lost to a younger DLH. Does this indicate that PBF is overrated, and isn't really a top p4p fighter?Comment
