      Who landed more?

Who landed the more effective shots?

      Be honest now.

        Who landed more?-Floyd, barely

Who landed the more effective shots? Oscar in 7 rounds, Floyd in 5

instead of being dumb asses and blinding ourselves to the other factors that decide not only fights but individual rounds, lets look at some other factors:

        Who was the aggressor?- Oscar

Who was the reigning champion?- Oscar

Should a contender be allowed to half-ass his way to a title?- No

Does agression mean anything if you are not landing as many punches?

So because someone is a champion they cant lose a close fight?

            1) Aggression and ring generalship does matter.

            2) Being "champion" doesn't matter a jot.

In the words of TS "simple really".....

Only 40.8% of people think that Floyd Mayweather won the fight with Oscar De La Hoya, while 43% think DLH won. 16% think the fight was a draw.

One would have to conclude from this poll that it was not a decisive victory for Floyd Mayweather. If PBF cannot convincingly defeat a past prime De La Hoya, he certainly would have lost to a younger DLH. Does this indicate that PBF is overrated, and isn't really a top p4p fighter?
The results are not based on the actual fight..It is base on Pretty Boys personality, and people hate him as a person..That's why the BS poll reflects Bull ****..

Once you take away that massive "punch accuracy/effective punching" margin that PBF had(as if percentages matter), Oscar wins the fight by a round, or at least a draw due to him being the aggressor and having slightly less but comparable numbers + more effectiveness. Im not going to deny that he **** himself in the late rounds when he was gassed and PBF changed his wet diaper and started what for him is a great feat of courage-standing still and throwing.

If Jerry Roth gave the 12th to Oscar like the other two and any sane judges would, its a draw.

Watching that fight, I got the impression in all but a few late rounds that Oscar was like a big brother to Floyd who had to take some punishment just

to save the fight and himself, Floyd, and the sport of boxing from embarrassment.

Keep in mind that Oscar's height advantage is negated by floyd's reach advantage...Its no great feat for a defensive boxer like floyd to do his thing against and aged yet apparently equal opponent.

Right there is where you lost me and credibality and I quit reading. Thank God your not a judge there is already enough terrible judges don't need you as another one.

Only when it's effective aggression and Oscar wasn't effective.

I'm sorry but if you had as many as nine rounds for Mayweather your score is as poor as someone who had De La Hoya winning. Mayweather won seven or eight rounds, not nine or ten. Tito Yuca had it a shutout, and he's the worst poster on this site for that very reason.

Please make this post into a thread, please, it deserves its own attention.

                      1) I therefore declare myself a poor scorer of boxing, easy-e shall join me and max kellermann also, thats some company i dont mind being in.

                      2) Tito Yica knows about boxing, whichever way you wanna look at it, his score was rediculous, but the guy is pure class, i had to say that incase he read this cos its a bit out of order to pick on him like that.
