    Hell
, for the Delaney fight he sold 70 tickets - yes, 70!
The Lacy fight changed everything, yes Cal was not that big before the Lacy fight but now he's huge in UK.

I could be wrong, but I think he never got a 6 million guarantee. Wright turned down 5 million against Taylor because he felt he won the first fight and refused to take anything less than 50-50. Wright received far less to fight Quartey.

With taylors last performance, I don't know how he would be the favored in this fight. And someone said taylor would outpoint calzaghe? How is that possible if Calzaghe throws like double or more punches? They might not all land but there enough to win the judges over on points. And taylors no super ko artist, I think this fight favors Calzaghe.

'Huge'?? If I asked 100 people in the street, less than 10 would know him.

His fight with Bika was on prime time terrestrial TV and had 1.9 million watching, compare that to Amir-Kindelan II and Audley-Danny Williams having 6 mill.

In the days of Bruno, Eubank, Benn and young Hamed it was astronomical with Bruno getting 10 million viewers on BBC, Benn AVERAGING 8 million for his first 43 fights (all on ITV), Eubank reaching peaks of 16 and 18 million (trust me, he recieved more attention than any person in Britain), and a young Hamed breaking into the 8 million mark in his first year on ITV.

And if this Taylor is asking for 6 million dollars or whatever, then it's upto American TV to come up with the money because there's not 6 million dollars just hanging around anywhere.

If American TV don't come up with the money then it's no fault of Joe's, it never has been.

Joe Calzaghe's a pretty-boy, he is probably very popular over there based on his looks. GEOFFHAYES, I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Nobody is interested in boxing in this country anymore, it's seen as alien now.

times change, you will NEVER get ratings like that of Benn / Eubank as they were household names becuase they started out on TV from the beginning.

                      Bull****.

Everybody started out on terrestrial TV from the beginning, there was boxing on Grandstand every week (including the ABA's), Duff's better boxers on Thursday and Friday night shows, ITV chipping in.

Actually Eubank's first live fight on terrestrial TV was five years into his career and it was on a Wednesday night.

When you knock guys senseless like Nigel Benn, with that kind of aggression and shave your hair like he did, your going to win viewers. And when you beat Nigel Benn, strutting your stuff and speaking like your from the silver spoon - your going to get some attention.

Colin McMillan's fights only had 2 million watching, McCallum-Watson and Collins-Pyatt fights only had 2 million watching. If Naz didn't somersault, showboat and wear the leopard skin he'd have only had 2 million watching.

Audley and Amir had multi-millions tuning in to their Olympic fights at all hours on BBC.

You can argue (and Joe does) that Duff wanted to keep him grounded, but even if he was on ITV at the same time as Benn, Eubank, Naz and Bruno he wouldn't have had more than 2 million because he doesn't have anything. He's a boring **** compared to the aforementioned. Nobody would have been more interested in Joe than Naz because he's a shy bastard, even though Joe was probably even better than Naz (quite amazing when you think about it - Joe was just nothingness).
