It's obvious that you are not reading the facts. Just spewing hate towards Calzaghe for some reason.

DiBella gets a percentage of the gate AFTER it makes $5 million. Maybe that's more than 1 million, maybe not. He is not willing to find out.

It has nothing to do with hate for anyone. This is common business sense. You say tickets are the same or more expensive than American tickets. If that is really the case and they can get 35,000+ to show up, the live gate has to be at least $15 million. And if that is the case, $1 million is a small piece of the pie. Aside from the live gate, they are getting money from HBO and whoever broadcasts the fight in the UK and Europe. $6 million really seems like nothing when you factor everything in.

So taking all that into consideration, why would Warren be so unwilling to pay another million when this fight has the potential to bring in so much revenue? Why would DiBella be turning down a piece of a $15 million+ live gate? Think about that for a second...
