I've a strong feeling that Briggs is going to go in and blow this guy out of the water. If he comes in good shape, which seems to be the case, he's going to land a bomb sooner or later. If Briggs does indeed win, there has to be a Klitschko fight made, although that's assuming Klitschko beats Brewster, but I don't see too many problems there.

I think there's a better chance of Brewster beating Klitschko than Briggs beating Ibragimov. Lamon Brewster is a genuine top level heavyweight, leagues better than Briggs.

Sultan's not that great either but he's probably good enough to beat old Carrot Top.

        .
That's outrageous. Brewster is coming back from a career threatening eye injury and has been out of action for quite some time, and is potentially shot now. Couple that with the fact he was being badly beaten the first time around before winning and the fact Klitschko will take his time in the second fight and you have very big odds on Brewster winning again.

There's no way that can be compared to the Briggs vs Ibragimov fight were it's probably 50/50 or even slightly in Briggs' favour.

Brewster says he's 100% healthy, and I believe him. He'll be well rested and in top form, he has a lot to gain. He's the type of fighter similar to Sanders that can defeat Wlad. He's never been stopped, and he's KOed several people who have never been stopped by anyone else. Lamon has one of the highest KO percentages in boxing. This will be a tough fight for Wlad.

Shannon Briggs, on the other hand, is a joke. He has two good wins on his resume: Lyakhovich, a mediocre, overrated boxer who had one lucky win because of Brewster's eye injury, and a 48 year old Foreman (who many people including myself believed should have won that fight).

I just checked the odds on this fight and it seems that Ibragimov is the favourite by a clear margin, which has surprised me. I'll definitely be putting some money on this. I'm not sold on Ibragimov at all.

Ibragimov is decent, but not top notch. He's too small, he should have been a cruiserweight. If Ibragimov was fighting a top heavyweight like Byrd, Chagaev, Brewster, Peter or Wlad, he would be certain to lose. People are picking Sultan in this fight because they know how bad Briggs really is.

You've got that backwards. Lyakhovich injured Brewster's eye!

Brewster ain't all that great. He bum rushed Golota who came in stone cold and caught him; he got a gift decision vs. Meehan; Wlad was smacking him all around the ring before he got sick or poisoned; Krasniqi was beating him until he got ******; and he lost to Shufford and Etienne. He's got a big punch, of course.

And that is the truth. Briggs is BY FAR the least deserving of the "heavyweight champs" (Wlad, of course, being the real heavyweight champ).

I am also surprised to hear that the official odds are favoring Sultan.

No he shouldn't. He fights at 220-230! What we do need, however, is a couple more heavyweight divisions!
