I always see these type of threads popup whenever floyd is in the news, and even when he isnt, I really dont think hes in the minority here, theres a couple of other floyd threads in the first page of NSB right now.
Its not weird, and I didnt say I couldnt enjoy floyds fights at all.Hopefully floyd sticks around and fights one of the top guys at welter or something, like I said for me thats when floyds skills really show and when I can really enjoy his fights.Comment

Glad to see you at least recognize he is good... But once more, why take risk in a fight if taking those risks could cause you to lose a fight that would otherwise be "easy work"...Amateur and professional are two very different games. Professional boxing is, to quote Manny Stewart, part "threatre" meaning you can win a boxing match on the cards but can you look good doing so(not boring) and win over the hearts of the crowd. It was a pro-DLH crowd but if Floyd had put in the dominating and masterful performance he was very capable of doing, then he would've won over the crowd and make alot of new fans as well as furthering his argument of being the 'greatest.'Comment

I would rather be loved and remembered for taking risks and giving it all for my fans than playing it safe and doing just enough to get by to win a round and be hated for it. But its different strokes for different folks.. You can't force and apple to be an orange.. and you can't force someone to do something out or that is not in there personality.. So if being like that isn't him than you can't knock him for it I guess.. Just simply don't be a fan and don't watch his fights if you don't like how he fights.Possible because he felt taking some of Corley's power was worth the risk to please the fans... That's not a smart fight to me personally... If you can stand on the outside and out point your opponent easily, why take the risk of getting caught with something that has no business hitting you...Comment

My point is this: Floyd has all the weapons to back up his smack talk. He has speed, endurance, defense and incredible skills and could've easy dominated Oscar but for some reason he just held back. And for this reason it was a boring fight after the 8th round because you knew Floyd would just 'coast' thru the rounds just doing enough to win. That's what all the hate's about!I guess you've not seen too many fights in your life, every boxer say that they will massacre their opponent, most don't.
Didn't Oscar also said that he will KO Floyd
I don't see you bitching about oscar.
This is boxing, not some ****** bar brawl.
BTW Oscar face was scracthed!Comment

Big Sin...if he was just potshotting how in the hell did he manage to out powerpunch Oscar's total punches landed Do you understand what I'm saying...that was a beautiful fight Sin. It seems like you guys are looking for something to criticize when you should be looking for something to glorify. No one has ever dominated De La Hoya really.. Even in the Hopkins fight he was even in the score cards before the body shot. That is why I'm giving floyd some props.. BUT I felt he could have did more and was very dissapointed in the fight, being that this is the biggest fight we have had in ages. I understand hitting and not getting hit but its one thing to do that and its another just to close up and pop shot here and there.. But oh well.. whats done is done and if these two go @ it again I will not be dumb and pay to see it again!Comment
