If you are happy and 100% satisfied with the way Floyd fought Saturday night, then you are either very easily satisfied, or you are sycophantic. In other words, you do not question anything Floyd does, and your view of reality is askew.

Floyd did not give his best; did not show the fans what we wanted.

He will be remembered as a great fighter who did not quite satisfy, if he stays retired.
What are you looking for? He didn't run or move a lot, stood in front of him and slipped shots and countered. What do you want?

I've also seen Gatti get embarassed time and again. All heart little brains, no?
Floyd has plenty of brains, and not enough heart. That is the difference. you can have brains and heart. There is no reason for these things to be seperated, and this is proven in the careers of guys like Leonard, Hagler, and Muhammad Ali.

There was nothing else to expect out of the guy. He does not have KO power at the higher weight classes. As expected interviews say he broke his hand yet again. He always does. So you have a small man with no power and brittle hands fighting the bigger man and fan favorite. What does he do? Land at a three time higher connect percentage while throwing less than Oscar did. If you didn't like how Floyd fought you simply don't like pure boxers. At the very least you want to see a boxer/puncher - and Floyd is a slick, elusive boxer- nothing more or less. His skills are amazing but he will never be what so many fans want him to be. He can win, and win, and win...and still not get 100% credit. You're giving him a grudging nod of approval - not real credit for his well executed victory.
        Well said....

Credit is given. I gave it. There is no moral law that I have to give him 100% credit and say that his win was great when it was not in my eyes.

Again, can one person in here answer my question...

Who was fully satisfied with this performance by Floyd?

          yes or no.

So basically, you are telling me some people are satisfied with Floyd's lack of toughness and tenacity, and that is ok.

            Fine. Just say so.
Are ypu saying Floyd's punches didn't look sharper, crisper than Oscars. I thought it was good fight and Oscar showed his chin because I saw him buckle atleast twice in the fight.

In my opinion Mayweather - reguardless of his record, is not in the same class as a Duran, Hearns, Leonard, etc. sure, he wins fights by being able to stick and move, although it's more like a "love tap" than a "stick". Mayweather does not challenge himself, does not take risks, including fighting this version of Oscar, who is, at this point obviously no longer the proud warrior he once was.
DeLaHoya 5 years ago wipes the ring with Mayweather, but not now, and not in a rematch either...

I say he should stay retired before the next young super star comes around telling Floyd "I would have done the same to an old Oscar".
"I would have done the same to Baldomir,Bruseless and Judah."

I think his legacy is worth more right now if he stays retired than if he fights on. Unless, Spinks finds a way to beat Taylor then he should un-retire and win a belt at 160.

In my opinion I think he is better than all those guys but just barely more than SRL. If he had SRL power he could overtake Ray Robinson I think. The kid is good, too good!

And has it ever ocurred to you that he can't be challenged by no one right now. And just maybe Oscar is what he has always been, just maybe Floyd is just that good to make it see like Oscar lost a few more steps.
