    Seriously Floyd fans

Yes I thought Floyd won. He did a 'good' job. No need to bring Oscar into this. If Floyd is happy with himself, let him retire. It's his right. There's something to be said for sticking to your word. But it's simple for you Floyd fans:

If you are happy and 100% satisfied with the way Floyd fought Saturday night, then you are either very easily satisfied, or you are sycophantic. In other words, you do not question anything Floyd does, and your view of reality is askew.

Floyd did not give his best; did not show the fans what we wanted.

He will be remembered as a great fighter who did not quite satisfy, if he stays retired.

He's won a title in every weight class he's fought in. That's pretty satisfying to me.

He may as well retire; he’s an ATG already and has been so for quite some time. His stuff at 130/135 is more than enough to consider him great.

Whats left for him? go to 160 and get the living **** beat into him, move down and beat Hatten, Mags and Cotto and have the world tell him that Hatton was to small and Mags/Cotto had no skills and that he only took those fights because he was to scared to take on the tough 154 challenges in Spinks and Karmazin lol.

Again he's satisfied me enough over the years (though 140/147 was a little lackluster in terms of opposion).

im happy with the fact floyd won.
i thought it was an easy fight for floyd
tougher than his other fights but still
easy. i though the 2 fights with castillo
wre tougher. the only thing oscar had
was a jab he barely used and combination
rabbit punches while he held floyd.

no floyd aint bust him up but he landed
almost 50% of his punches counter well
and sliped most of oscar punches who landed
aroudn 20%. thats floyd. i wasnt expecting him to
knock oscar out since floyd isnt a super puncher.
more of a wear you out kind of boxer and being oscar
is big n tough it wasnt going to happen. the fight pretty
much played out how i expected. im happy for floyd and
feel he doesnt have anything else to prove.

lol I won't say much because it looks like everyone already **** all over your "heart felt" poem up there.

floyd can retire if he wants.. I'd rather see him beat up some more guys though...

He still has too much youth left to retire i think. but if its for his kids so be it.. time to become Good DAD and let Pretty boy go.. 1

I would say if you are satisifed with the way Floyd fought you have watched him fight before and saw him use his style to do it again against a bigger man that people were picking to beat him. Didn't you?

There was nothing else to expect out of the guy. He does not have KO power at the higher weight classes. As expected interviews say he broke his hand yet again. He always does. So you have a small man with no power and brittle hands fighting the bigger man and fan favorite. What does he do? Land at a three time higher connect percentage while throwing less than Oscar did. If you didn't like how Floyd fought you simply don't like pure boxers. At the very least you want to see a boxer/puncher - and Floyd is a slick, elusive boxer- nothing more or less. His skills are amazing but he will never be what so many fans want him to be. He can win, and win, and win...and still not get 100% credit. You're giving him a grudging nod of approval - not real credit for his well executed victory.
