Put it this way, in this era of boxing, say the last 15 years, who in the entire sport was a better or more skilled fighter than Floyd Mayweather Jr? i dont believe there are many names.

It really doesnt have to be contraversial, he is accepted by many as the best of his era (even including roy jones), so by rights if you are one of the greatest of your era, why is it such a big deal he is considered an all time great.

Well there was this one guy that started at 130 and moved all the way up to 154. That fought better opposition. That won titles in 5 different weight classes by age 28 and in a 6th division by age 31. And no, beating this guy once, twice, even 10 times when way past his prime isn't going to make Floyd top 10 or even top 20 GOAT. Before the Hatton fight, most people had him in the high 40's, so it seems ridiculous for him to crack the 30s yet.
