And no, beating this guy once, twice, even 10 times when way past his prime isn't going to make Floyd top 10 or even top 20 GOAT. Before the Hatton fight, most people had him in the high 40's, so it seems ridiculous for him to crack the 30s yet.
As i have already said, in terms of resume, floyd is NOT the greatest ever.

Im talking about Skill, De la hoya is a great fighter imo, he fought great fighters and was highly skilled himself.

I dont believe in all this numbers ****, its subjective, one **** could say

    "I got him at 39"

Some other bloke could say "I got him at 49"

Bottom line is this, mayweather is the best of his era, and in terms of SKILLS, there are few professional boxers, that have or had more skills than him.

I dont pretend to be an expert on boxing history, but in THIS era of boxing, who has or has had a better skillset than Mayweather?

even though he is the only man to win titles in 5 divisions without losing?

You don't think Roy could have won a title at CW? Especially back when it was at 190?

I don't like what floyd has done since he moved up to 140, his opposition was pretty poor for such a calibre of fighter in that division, and took on the weakest of the alphabet champions. Again at 147, I wasn't imressed with the level of competition apart from judah, it really wasn't that good, he beat a past it never was a welter in the first place mitchell, and a cinderella man type champion. The de la hoya win was good but, against a fighter whilst still better than most was not what he was in his late 20's. The hatton win was I thought one of his better performances, but against, in his own words "one of the most overrated fighters in the last 25 years".

Floyd is a money fighter, who measures risk vs reward, I think we all know this, there are so many great fighters who fought the best available competition and took many more risks, because they fought for greatness.

I think floyd's talent and his achievments takes him into the top 20, but I would be very hesitant to put him in the top 10, he would need 2 or 3 more wins on the de la hoya level prefferably against prime fighters to be considered in my opinion, but im not sure were gonna see them

Hmm, probably top 20. Very difficult to say. I think winning titles in five weight classes coupled with his skill (which, if we're measuring skill alone, he is easily top 10 and probably top 5) you'd have to include him in the top twenty bracket. He hasn't had the best opposition, but it hasn't been bad either. He has beaten some very good fighters, and he's only ever been close to losing once (he beat Oscar cleanly in my eyes)
