Forget this 60/40 bull**** b4 the damn fight! thats whats wrong with boxing now. it should 60/40 for the winner...period! and im not saying this just for this fight, im saying thats how it should be for all fights. the winner should always get the bigger share. Thats why neither one of these guys have fought top competition, regularly. b/c they often negotiate themselves out of the big fights. both need each other. Joe to have a big name on his resume and RJJ to solidify a fledgling legacy and to quite possibly set up a retirement fight between he and hopkins. they boh need to make it happen

Old Jones sucks and he knows it. And old jones isn't worth anymore then 1 mil. They should tell jones take it or leave 1 mil, and thats still giving him way 2 much when he has had 3 losses in a row. This ****ER is only looking to cash out not beat joe. **** roy jones jr, he is a pathetic boxer who is trying to make money yet is he that ******ed that he doesn't realize that he has three losses in a row which makes him worth absolutely nothing to even joe calzaghe the champ?

If the fights happens in america, Jones will be the one selling the PPV's, not Calzaghe.
They need to sort out something whereby Jones would get the majority of money created by PPV views or summin like that.Comment

No, I love roy but I'm still pissed at him since after his 3 losses in a row. That he came back to boxing requesting ridiculous amounts of money to fight people. He is undeserving. Once you lose 3 times in a row, you're an embarrassment and should be happy if you get even 1 million dollars. Plus, roy said he'd go over there to fight him from what people have posted up on here. But roys acting like a *****. Right before he called out calzaghe, jones wanted to fight a bum. And worse then that he wanted to fight a bum for 1.5 mil and hbo/showtime both told him to go **** himself.

Are you guys kidding? Roy only 1 mil and thats all? Roy get mayority of PPV? 50/50 split right down the middle. If joe loses he gets a rematch. if RJJ loses--no rematch. like i said b4, they both need each other in this fight to make big money not only for this fight but for the next 1 for RJJ and the next 3 for Joe. and also for each other's legacy. all this talk about who gets the majority is a total BS! when it gets to the point where fans are negotiating who should get what(including myself) then boxing has become a laughing stock, in the business sense, but still one of the top sports in the worldComment

If the fight goes ahead on PPV, Jones will be selling the PPV's

It would be shown on HBO, cos Calzaghe is on HBO (for free, no one is paying to watch Joe Calzaghe fight lol)
The only way Calzaghe will get on PPV is if he fights Jones, (or hopkins etc)
I cant see anyone in US paying to see Calzaghe as the main draw, not after the Manfredo shambles,

Thats more then manfredo made, and thats more then roy deserves. He lost 3 times in a ****ing row for christ sakes. Your revenue gets lower when you're a loser not higher. Just because joes the champ, doesn't mean because roys a big name that he should be making money. He's a ****ing loser trying to cash out in this fight, and honestly I think he knows he'll get his ass beat. He's just looking for a big paycheck, and thats exactly why this fight won't happen. Roy Jone jr= the same joke that got rejected by hbo/showtime when roy wanted to fight a bum for 1.5 mil.

You guys honestly think if roy did end up fighting on hbo or showtime, that he'd deserve more then 1 mil to fight calzaghe after losing 3 in a row? Thats hilarious, but if it does go on ppv I guess roy can make a tad more... hahaha... roy the guy who wanted to fight a bum for 1.5 mil on the hbo/showtime while I think hbo/showtime both only offered him 500 thousand for the fight since hbo/showtime don't want to be pushed around by some loser.
I wish this fight did happen, so joe could beat the ever-living **** out of roy. And people can just keep saying, roys an old guy and thats why he lost... Hopkins pussied out of the roy jones rematch his whole carrer, he insisted on 50/50 knowing jones would say no, because that was the only way he could make Jones look bad without fighting him.
Even now, RJJ offered him out in a winner gets 60/40 match, Hopkins STILL said no, and went on to a deal with a 154 pound Winky Wright moving up to 170.
