Jones is going too want too much money for this fight. He's looking to cash out, not beat calzaghe because Roy's not ****ing ******. Roy knows he stands no chance now adays. Calzaghe gets better with age, Roy gets worse with age. 10 years ago Roy wanted a ridiculous pay day against calzaghe. I see things haven't changed, notice how the article doesn't tell you how much roy wants. But the truth is, how much does roy deserve for this fight? I say not as much as he probably is hoping for... Bet he's asking for something like 4-5 mil to fight calzaghe... What a joke roy

Robin Reid was nowehere near as talented and Toney and Jones, Reid was world class in his era though.

This would be hard to swallow..

The guy with possibly the worst work rate vs. the guy with possibly the best work rate.. Based on what happened with Tarver - I think Calzaghe could have been the first man to open up Jones if he got there first..

Calzaghe could beat 2003 pre-Tarver Jones, and easily beat 2007 Jones..

Roy, you CAN'T win unless you increase your work rate.

          Understand?!..

Yep, apparently Calzaghe was another Robbery (i didnt see the fight), why did Joe refuse Robin Reid a rematch?

Take one look at those scorecards and it becomes obivous something might not have been right, how can a judge give it 116-111 to Reid and the other two 116-111 to Calzaghe?

What fight were they watching, that dont seem right.

              lol.

Robin Reid said after the fight was over, on video that he felt calzaghe inched the fight away from him. He gave the fight to calzaghe, so obviousy even if you think reid landed more shots, calzaghes punches obviously had the more pop behind them since Reid thought calzaghe won the fight. Unless, reid enjoys lying on camera... But i think reid felt calzaghes power that night, I think reid might have landed more though. But either way the fight was close, would have been better to been called a draw.

                  Where did reid say that?

He spent the next couple of years on BBC with a ****ty WBF belt beggin for a rematch and saying he was robbed, every interivew he did with BBC he called out Joe Calzaghe, Joe should have given him a rematch, the fact he lost 116-111 on a judges scorecard is enough to suggest a rematch was nesscesary.

Have you not seen the fight? I'm ripping the video right now where reid said he thought calzaghe won. Now, since reid didn't get his rematch which he deserved. Reid talks ****?

I actually think that Jones would do good against Calzaghe. Better than pretty much anybody I can think of. Jones' tremendous foot and hand speed could give Calzaghe problems. Jones might actually be able to attack him from different angles and in exchanges Jones is one of the few guys who can match hand speed with Calzaghe, and it helps Jones that Calzaghe is not a huge puncher.
