Roy Jones is a joke these days, he needs to quit. He was meant to fight Hanshaw, then didn't disappeared.

Then he tried to get more money against Hopkins, thinking he is still a big draw. He is finished.

Actually Jeff Lacy is nowhere as good as Hopkins and Toney alone

Where was Hopkins ranked in the world when he fought Jones? Was he top 10 P4P? Was he top 5 in HIS DIVISION? Your answer my friend is no. Neither him, not James Toney were undefeated, untroubled, only ever been cut once, 10 year reign champions of the World.

Neither of them, when they fought Jones, are better than Calzaghe is now.

Who said he was? Read please. I said that CALZAGHE (even now) may well be the best opposition that the current Jones has ever fought in his career.

          What you talking about?

          lol

James Toney fought Roy Jones in 1994, by which time Toney was

          Undefeated

He Held the Number One Pound4Pound in the world

And in 1991 he was ring magazine fighter of the year (he went on to win it again)

No, Calzaghe now is not better than Toney was when he fought Jones

          lol.

Apparently I didnt use enough "possibly"'s or "may well be"'s to cover the fact that this was a contentious statement that may be up for debate.

The Toney win win is overrated. Toney looked **** against McCallum, Tiberi, Williams and Johnson prior to the Jones defeat.

Oh for ****s sake. Why dont you use the brain that you quite obviously have in your head to work it out?

James Toney was on his route back from DEATH when he fought Roy Jones Junior. Bernard Hopkins was not a top fighter when he fought Roy Jones Junior. He did become one afterwards though.

Joe Calzaghe right now is a TOP fighter, has shown no sign of ageing, has never particularly struggled to defeat anyone he has fought (in fact, the closest thing that has EVER come to beating him is his own brittle hands). Therefore Joe Calzaghe, even at this stage in his career, would be a ****ing huge scalp for Jones to defeat (such is his inflated record...just like Calzaghe's), he MAY MAY MAY even be the best fighter at the time Jones were to fight him, that Jones has ever fought.

However, to avoid people saying "no he isnt", I included plenty of phrases like 'may well be' or 'possibly is'.

To me, that is all pretty straight forward.

How is Calzaghe now, better than toney was then?

i dont ever remember JC looking like the p4p number one in the world (im not saying JC aint world class).

Better yet how can you say that when the Super-middleweight division is the second worst in boxing right now to the heavys.

In toney's day there were some proper fighters, people like Roy Jones and Michael Nunn, fighter like Beyer ottke and kessler would have got murdered by these guys

(no Jeff lacy is not better than Michael Nunn or Roy Jones lmao)

You think Evans Ashira would have got a world title shot in those days?

                    lol.

                    Please.

Joe Calzaghe is the best SM right now no question

No he wasnt ever better than James Toney was then.

Roy seams to forget that its 2007 not 2003. The light is not shining on him as it just to.
