calzone's title "reign" has been a joke.

Joe Calzaghe will go down in history as the champ with most worthless defences of all time.

Come back when Kessler has fought someone ... anyone ... worth a damn. The majority of Calzaghe's defences have been against a higher calibre opponent than anyone on Kessler's resume. Fact.

Wake the **** up. JCs resume at end career is pathetic. If he had been in his twenties, he could still repair it - right now, its ****ing pathetic.

Let him face Taylor(lol?, where?) so he can retire undefeated knowing that FW ruined his career, fighting over-the-hill opposition, when he could have been great.

When JCs career is forgotten(1 month after his retirement), everyone will still be talking about Kessler as the champ, that fought in USA, and joined all the belts

they should make the Kessler vs Calzaghe fight soon.

I dont know why Kessler doesn`t come to the UK...he's half English anyways.

He's finally going to leave Copenhagen is he? Good man.

I can't believe anyone could possibly consider Kessler to be the bigger legacy opponent for Calzaghe compared to Taylor. The mere idea is as ****** as you are. Christ, he's made a career of beating over-rated and robotic fighters like your boy.

I don't think either fighter is a "legacy" opponent for Calzaghe. Taylor has the most disputed title reign I've ever seen for an "undisputed" champion. No one knows how good Kessler really is. I'd prefer seeing Calzaghe-Kessler because they have been number 1 and 2 in the division for 2-3 years now. They need to settle who the best super middleweight really is before going after people outside of the division...

Hopkins, he fully unified, rather than Calzaghe who has to date beat one other title holder.

People say "Tito was a welterweight". He was a big welterweight who had moved up to 154 in 1997, but went back down for the big paydays when it was apparent he would get a big fight with either Quartey, Whitaker, or of course, Oscar.

Moreover, Tito had destroyed the 2nd best middleweight in the world in Joppy (who Hopkins also beat) before Hopkins beat him.

Tito was viewed as the #2 MW in the world when Hopkins beat him. Holmes was viewed as the 3rd or 4th best. Joppy was a top 2 contender at MW when Hops beat him. Eastman was a top 2 contender at MW when Hops beat him.

How many guys did Joe beat who were as highly regarded at 168 compared to how many Hopkins did who were as highly regarded at 160?
