Calzaghe talks about fighting big opponents and then things happen, the universe works against him, and it doesn't happen. You say he wants to fight Hopkins, Wright or Taylor? I'll believe it when the contract is signed.

If you ask me their records are very similar.. except Joe has been doing it for longer..
If he beats ONE truly top guy (like Calzaghe did with Lacy. Only there's possible nobody as 'top' as Lacy was considered when Calzaghe ruined him), then I will start rating him.

Until then, I'll consider him to be a good fighter against average opposition.

The problem with the names you name.. One guy is 41.. another is a natural Super welter weight.. and the other is a middleweight.. It still seems a bit dodgy...BUT it would still say more than beating an overrated and over protected Marcus Beyer

How is that his fault? He has publically said that they are all ducking him and not one of them have come back and defended themselves.

You cant force people to fight you.

Why arent you getting on their backs?

Every boxer claims people are ducking him. Did you know half the boxing world was ducking Floyd Mayweather? Oh, and Margarito had people moving to other states to not run into him on the street. Calzaghe has had the chance to fight bigger names and the deal always turns sour, or there is some issue where he suddenly can't be interested.....

I like Joe...but I also feel is a good, skilled fighter who is content. Content to be known over the pond in Europe and not fight any dangerous American fighters.

I cant agree less with this. I guess we'll have to wait until after the Manfredo fight before we get a good indication of his intentions.

Yeah! Manfredo is a lethal fighter. Devastating.

So you're telling me that suddenly, after Lacy, his choice in opponents is going to differ drastically? I mean, he is not a new fighter. The guy is going to be running towards the end of his career soon....and all indications thus far say he's a good fighter who is content fighting limited opposition. I mean, sure, Lacy was undefeated- but that really spells untested. Calzaghe's follow up fight was against a contender reject? What..? Where is the logic in that? Sakio Bika and now this? He's falling right back into his routine of picking fringe contenders to dismantle.

Jebus, he’s already beat Eubank, Lacy, Brewer, Mitchell, Veit, Sheika, Woodhall and Reid, (6 of the 8 were in their “primes” to, yes including Mitchell, oh did I mention 4 of those were considered the absolute best at the division at one time or another).

His record is great as it is, Nard or Taylor would just be icing on the cake.

Kessler on the other hand looked **** against "China Chinned" Mundine, get off his nuts already.
