I had it 115-112 with the knockdown... With the knockdown it would have been 113-113 (if you are still going to give Barerra a 10-8 round because of a one punch knockdown in a round where he was completely dominated)... That round would have been a 8-8 round if I was a judge... I'm not even sure if you can do that but, he lost the round to me so I would have gave him 9 and I would have gave JMM a 8 for getting knocked down... Then comes the point deduction from MAB which makes it an 8-8 round... The point taken for the hit after the knockdown was not questionable to me... Which makes it 113-112 JMM with the knockdown...

I wasn't actually scoring the fight, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I'll give my opinion. I agreed for the most part with the HBO scores except that they gave rounds 8 and 9 to Barrera when I thought they probably belonged to Marquez. That would mean Marquez would be winning by 3 points, which is close to what the judges had. The judges would have also had the fight closer if Nady had ruled correctly on the knockdown, but he didn't, and obviously the judges have to go along with the ruling. If that hadn't happened and Barrera hadn't ******ly taken a swing at a downed Marquez, they would have had Marquez winning by 2 points I think, which is is very reasonable.

118-109 is a ******ly lopsided score in my opinion, but whatever, the right man won, and they are having a rematch anyways so no harm done. Just like losing those incredible fights to Barrera did nothing to hurt Morales's legacy, this loss won't hurt the legend of Barrera.

What are you talking about? Barrera looked fantastic in that fight. So did Marquez. Are you just going to label a fighter as "sliding" once they hit a certain age, regardless of how they actually look in the ring?
