Taylor wants another name on his resume, nothing wrong with that. Will he ever impress you guys, nope. If he beats pavlik and miranda, you guys will call them hype-jobs and say he still hasn't beat anybody. Good god hagler and monzon are ****in lucky that they didnt fight in the post-internet era.

This is a bad fight for Jermain. I definitely think he'd win but he gains nothing in it. If he knocks him out, he will beat a guy who really should still be at welterweight. On the other hand, Cory Spinks will be running for his life and Jermain might have to win despite not being able to land much on the boxing track star. I hope to god that Taylor negotiates a small ring or Spinks will turn it into the Olympic Time Trials in a 36 minute stinker

I don't think it really matters whether he fights Mora, Pavlik, Miranda, Spinks or anyone else not named Winky or Joe C. The only guys who can give him a tough fight are Winky and Calzaghe. End of story. You either get to see him chase Spinks around the ring for 12 rounds, Miranda flail his arms around wildly for 12, or Pavlik get into the ring for about a minute and a half before being carried out. There isn't much competition for Taylor right now. That being said, I would rather him fight Miranda or Pavlik just to shut them up.

exactly, there's plenty of featherfisted guys at middleweight for taylor to knock out, like sam soliman. he doesn't need to go down two weight classes to find bums to pad his record

Taylor is scared to face any full size middleweight who can punch.

That's why he trys to get fights with little men that have no business fighting at 160.

Mora Pulls Out, Jermain Taylor-Cory Spinks Next?

According to a recent report by boxing scribe Dan Rafael, the May 19 bout with WBC middleweight champion Jermain Taylor and "Contender Star" Sergio Mora is off. Mora refused to fight Taylor at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. It was said that by walking away from the Taylor bout, Mora will lose a million dollar payday. [details]
