Teddy and his scars aren't exactly reliable sources. He's a biased Tyson hater and probably made things up for attention.

Everyone was sparring at the jr.olympic's trials . I don't think that it is out of the question that a 170-180lbs Holyfield and a 190-200lbs Tyson sparred at that time.

I first heard if from Holyfield in a Ring magazine interview. So you are saying they never sparred? Must be alot of people lying then...

Yeah, but the way it's been described. First i heard Mike left the ring angry and discouraged because Holyfield kept getting up. Now the sparring had to be stopped because it was too intence. There can only be one true story.

Guys like Holyfield, Hagler, Toney will never be intimated in any fight, you either have heart or don't, it's that simple, you can't buy heart!

Yea, the exact details of the encounter will surely be glamorized through time. But I think the concensus of the different accounts of the same story is that Holyfield got the best of the sparring.

I also heard Holyfield talk about his sparring with Bowe and he never said that he dominated him. So I can take his word that he bust Mike up, the evidence in their later encounters don't make it hard to believe at all.

                Hagler never moved up.

Everybody can be tested. Who is willing to die?

some people can box, but they can't go to a WAR.

What's moving up to do with heart?? Hagler had one of the biggest set of balls I've ever seen in my life.

This is actually the first time I heard Holy got the best of Mike, but how do you mean?

If you mean Holy kept coming, yeah, this is what I heard. If you are saying Holy was whooping on Mike, no, never heard that.

I am to tired to do some research, maybe I will do it later. Plus, watching a bunch of video and getting quotes is a pain of the ass when you are not sure which video you saw it in.

                      Challenging oneself to tougher competition.

Hagler would have had to face a tougher challenge than ever before, this is where your balls are tested to the full capacity.

He had balls, I don't doubt that, but he knew his limits. To be fair, maybe he knew he was just out-matched physically.

We might just have to define "Balls"
