Really? I never heard Evander used to spar with iron mike. I heard LL did but not evander. So Evander got the better in sparring is he trying to say?

No. I heard it was brutal though. Tyson took it to Evander badly, but Evander kept coming, despite getting bounced around the ring. You also have to remember Tyson was bigger than Holyfield at this point, but the main point people make is that Holy stood up to Tyson and kept coming. People broke the fight up before it got any worse.

Tyson may have been knocking guys out, but he wasnt a towering figure. Holyfield ended up being the bigger man.

The story I heard about Tyson and Holyfield sparring was from Teddy Atlas when he was being interviewed. He said Mike and Evander use to spar when they were boys. Teddy described Mike as a "ring perfectionist"..meaning that Mike was a great front running fighter but if things didnt go his way he would panic and wasnt good at fighting from behind. So Teddy said basically that when they sparred Mike was a bigger boy and use to knock Evander down because he outweighed him by about 25 pounds. But then he said Mike use to get discouraged and lose confidence because Holy kept getting up and fighting back harder after he got up and thats when he would hurt Mike back. Almost all the guys that Mike put on their back stayed there, so according to Teddy Mike couldnt handle these situations very well
