Hes taken more punishment than that before, but the he quit the sport because he didnt have it anymore.
He knew that when he lost to a guy like Hatton, a good fighter with good heart, he wasnt on the top of his game.
I think it's weak for whoever to cop out behind, "he knew he didn't have it anymore". Hatton roughed him up and beat him up and Tszyu couldn't go anymore because of Hattons will. The only time I remember Kostya taking more punishment was against an inspired Vince Phillips who fought the fight of his life.

There is no sense in NOT giving Hatton respect for taking it to a very good, although aged champion like Tszyu.

Do you remember how shocked everyone was that Zoo quit?
He had taken some punishment, true, but it was a mental thing. He knew he couldnt come back and decided it wasnt worth it to go out for the 12th round.
Do you not remember him saying this after the fight???

If claiming that PBF is a great fighter, a legend and the best boxer in the world, but he feels that he can beat him and that his style is not exciting can be considered 'talking ****', then Floyd must be mataphorically raping the family of his opponents with some of the comments he makes.

But that being said, latley hes changed his style, and starting talking **** about fighters like Floyd Mayweather, and that really turned me off to him.
Does PBF talking **** about Hatton not make you dislike PBF then? Hatton can't be all nicey nicey about PBF because at the end of the day Hatton wants PBF no matter what anyone says. And being nicey nicey wont get him a fight. Saying he will whoop PBF is more likely to get him a fight with PBF.

Hatton made nothing but excuses after the fight. He's too small for 147, never intended to move up, didn't feel right at the weight, etc. He gave Collazo backhanded compliments and never gave him a rematch that Hatton said he wanted.

Now that Hatton is the one facing the smaller man, should we give him creditif he beats Castillo since JLC is too small for 140, didn't intend to move up but was forced to, and doesn't feel strong at the weight, etc.?

Well Castillo didnt feel strong at the lighter weights and that is the reason he moved up in the first place. PBFs moved up weights, so why shouldnt Castillo?

There's one very real difference - Castillo cannot make 135lb anymore, therefore he is now a natural 140lb fighter. Hatton still makes 140lb with ease and is therefore still a natural 140lb fighter. Sounds a perfect matchup to me, or am I missing something?

For someone who dislikes Hatton, $in is sure obsessed with him, and while his post was a little better organised than the usual dross it was still the same tired non-arguments: Struggled against Collazo. "Ran" back down to 140. Never fought anyone decent apart from Kostya Tszyu. BTW Kostya was past it.

                    Boring.

Obviously it works for him he is undefeated. I give him absolutely no chance against PBF. I don't even want to see that fight because I don't think its a fair fight. His whole faced would be swollen by the 4th round and it would be nothing but target practice because his eyes would be shut. He needs to fight some top people before even thinks about fighting PBF. Castillo to me isn't really top person because his best days are so far behind him.
I also watched PBF vs. Castillo I and Castillo didn't win that fight he missed alot of his punches. What I find funny is that PBF makes so many people miss that when he gets hit the about the same amount of times the average fighter does people feel he lost. That right there should tell you all how great he is.
You wasn't impressed with Hatton's performance against Kostya Tszyu? And before you post it, i know that Kostya was 35 years old at the time and had only boxed something like three rounds in seventeen months, but he was still a great fighter. Obviously, Ricky Hatton hasn't looked great in the three fights since then, but the bottom line is that he got the wins against viable opposition... Carlos Maussa could make anyone look ordinary, he's that type of awkward fighter... Luis Collazo was a southpaw, and Juan Urango was a southpaw. Mayweather hasn't looked so great everytime he's fought, but not every fighter does.
Castillo will still be a very dangerous opponent for Ricky Hatton, but i expect Hatton to look exceptional in this fight, and i think Hatton would pose a threat to Mayweather.
