Everyone knows Floyd moves up in weight so he can fight more immobile fighters.
So putting on weight affects other fighters, just not Mayweather?

DLH outweighed Floyd by around 30lbs on fight night.

Floyd has only put on about 10 lbs since fighting at lightweight.

So Cory Spinks should be able to go from welterweight to light heavyweight and dominate, right?

Mayweathers style makes it easy for him to move up weights and fight heavier fighters.

In fact, it is really an advantage, because more often than not, they will gas out trying to catch up to his running tactics...

Just like DLH did in the last 4 rounds before he was winning.

Spinks doesn`t run as much as Mayweather. Plus he was stopped by Zab at Welter.

Why do you think Roy Jones was able to defeat Ruiz?

            Firstly he was juiced up...

secondly, he used the fact that Ruiz was so immobile and Roy would just run and pot shot him all night.

WW to light heavy is 30lbs, as i`ve already said, Floyd has hardly added any weight since lightweight.

Me2007, you're clutching on straws on this. Mayweather can compete at 130-154 because he is an excellent moving boxer. that said I think he'd have to be careful who he fought. A pressure fighter with excellent stamina would beat him at 154 and maybe even 147. I think at 140 or below it would take a special performance from a special fighter to beat him.

The one point on which i do agree with you is that Oscar gassed in the fight, and if he hadn't, the fight could have been much closer. It wasn't exactly an inspiring performance from PBF, for his last fight.

                I agree with you.

I said that the reason that Mayweather can move up weight better than Hatton is because of Mayweathers style. He uses the fact that he is more mobile to his advantage.

I was responding to him comparing Hattons move to WW and Mayweather moving up. Hatton fights by coming forward head on....

Comparing one fighters move up in weight with the other is ridiculous.

Yep it is. Just ignore $in when he's being ridiculous. One post in ten will be actually thought out, but most of the time he's as accurate as Steve Harmison.

If it's just running, as you say, then why can't Cory Spinks accomplish the same things Mayweather has?

He doesn't have judges in his pocket like Floyd.
