Hatton is Not a P4P Level Figher

I'm saying he wasn't 154 champ. he fought once against DLH who wasn't champ. I'm passing no comment on who he could have/would have fought. Baldomir was utter ****e but he held the 147 championship and Floyd took it from him.
I don't get what could possibly be confusing about my point.Comment

I see your point. My point is that if he goes after the 154 champ, he gets criticized for that too. No one wanted to see a Spinks fight, for good reason...I'm saying he wasn't 154 champ. he fought once against DLH who wasn't champ. I'm passing no comment on who he could have/would have fought. I don't disagree, but I'm not criticising Mayweather.
Actually if you look back I supported the possibility of him fighting Spinks, although I agree many of the guys on here were giving PBF **** about that.
Anyway PBF is an ATG and 3 division champ (what an achievement that is), and Hatton is P4P 8-10, but stop making threads about it!Comment

Good question is; How many weights did DLH win THE title. I really can't remember - any scholars around? This whole 6 divisions is a croc of ****e.Comment

still gotta respect hatton for how far he's went. further than any member of this forum'll ever go (most likely). I wouldn't use his performance against Tszyu as credentials for P4P status, i considered Tszyu to be P4P, but with a weakness, i.e that he can be worn down by pressure (Vince Phillips).Comment

This is the problem though isnt it? You'll save the post until he announces his next fight, but you wont stop wanking on about it until he fights his next fight. You'll criticise him JUST IN CASE his next fight isnt the standard and weight that you want it to be, despite giving him no credit whatsoever for taking an obvious step in the right direction by facing Castillo.
He retired AFTER the loss, not before it. Who are you to say that the beating Hatton gave him didnt make him 'QUIT THE SPORT'?
Nobody.Comment

I may have to bump up my thread on why I give him no credit for this fight...This is the problem though isnt it? Linear at 140 from Chavez, 147 from Whitaker, and I guess 154 (it was vacant, he beat Vargas to unify the WBA/WBC belts and win The Ring belt).
At 135, well, he won the WBO belt against Paez (not a world class LW) and then unified it with a win over Ruelas who was the IBF belt. Gonzalez and Nazarov were considered the top lightweights before Oscar won those belts. After Oscar beat Ruelas, people said Oscar was the top lightweight since he was so talented.Comment
