its been known for a long time that both hatton and cotto like eachother and
their styles. they both said along time ago they would fight eachother. this is no surprise and hatton said he would go up to fight a big name but is more comfortable at 140.

There could be multiple knockdowns in this scrap. Let's just hope it goes through.

Hatton has repeatedly stated that with the proper time to prepare for a fight at 147, he feels he would be stronger and faster.

I hope this fight won't happen. Hatton will be punching and clinching the whole fight like he does. Cotto will get frustrated and it will be a boring fight. I hope Hatton loses against Castillo and then maybe HBO will stop showing his fights.

            Its for the JUNIOR-WELTERWEIGHT TITLE!!!!

Cotto is goin down in weight if he accepts.

And while i think its kinda contradictory for Hatton to say all this stuff about goin up to 147 for only a few big names, and NOT go up to fight cotto, i am VERY glad he isnt because he struggled immensley his last fight there.

Hatton needs a good stradegist to win this fight. It wont be either guy.

But Hatton CANNOT beat a body puncher, like Castillo or Cotto, if he clinches!

Body punchers live off that. They smack on the break to the body, which will just further weaken your body down.

Hatton needs to box from the outside like he did against URANOG for the first 5 rounds.

If he does, he can walk throught pretty much anybody at 140 pounds

              Darn, what a shame..

It looks like it will be Hatton vs. Judah.

But it's an experiment. And he doesn't need to be experimenting at this stage of his career.. unless he's in with Mayweather, who nobody would give him a chance against anyway and just jump all over him.

First of all, Hatton will beat an aging Castillo in June. Secondly, Cotto has the more difficult challenge in Judah. I feel Cotto must knock Judah out to win. Assuming that he does just that, I believe that due to natural size, Hatton will only ever leave 140 for Mayweather. As much as I do rate Hatton, at 147 Cotto would knock him into next week. At 140 its Hatton possibly by UD.

Now that Cotto is settled in at 147, you will not see him at 140 ever again. Whats the point? The big fights are really at 147 anyway.

Oh really??? This is all crap. Arum will be offering his own boy Cotto money to go down to the weight which makes his life misserable? ****!

Why? Maybe after Cotto's last fight, Arum believes Cotto won't last long as a full blown welter. If Hatton wants to fight Cotto he'll have to go up to 147 where Cotto has a title. IBO title at Junior Welter? **** ARUM and Hatton.

Cotto needs to fight Mosley or the winner of Marg/William fight.

Read the article again buddy, it says "junior welter". So that means Cotto will have to go down at 140 and Hatton is not planning to go up to 147.
