Winky clearly stunned him a few times too.......Miranda would put him nite nite.

All Miranda has is strength and agression. he don't got no jab and no real arsenal except for that right hand. Miranda a tough SOB, but taylor will eat him up with jabs and powershots. And his athleticism will be overwhelming, who has Miranda fought that can move and do things that Taylor do. It would be ugly and Miranda would be forgotten if they fought now....
I have to disagree with ya Cortdawg! Physically Winky is strong but Miranda is an intimidating strong fighter. Miranda comes with pressure & the power to hurt you unlike Winky & he can takes a punch or two to get in his. To me JT is little clumsy & doesn't have great technique. The fights with Hopkins, Wright, & Ouma definitely showed that. He tends to get over anxious & starts winging shots similar to Miranda. The one thing that would give Miranda trouble is his jab. But as Mike Tyson once said: "Everyone has a plan, until they get hit." I truly believe once JT tastes that kind of power, he might abandon his game plan & start trading because he did that against both Hopkins & Winky. I don't think there's an active Middleweight today that is going to out brawl/trade with Miranda. It's not like JT is a defensive wizard himself; he has major defensive holes and won't be able to avoid getting hit all night.

cortdawg, if Miranda and Taylor fight, do you think that Taylor will box and move the whole time? Or just slug? I'm thinking Manny will be worried and send him in there with a mover's game plan. The only problem with that is that I think Taylor is better when he's aggressive. I think it's more his nature. He acts like a good ole boy but he's a nut deep down inside.

It will truely be a test of his disipline I agree that Manny will probably have a stick and move type plan because he plans to win fights when he is in your corner not look good while doing it just winning.Taylor will have to get frustrated or ****y depending on how that plan works out and when he does either of those things and starts to trade or get into a pissing match with Miranda thats when he goes to bed early.

right on the money. alot of times people underestimate the ability to take a punch. it's the most valuable asset in boxing. and that's a quote from roy jones, ironically. he said that during one of his commentations.

No he didn't...he head butted him and it caused a knot, then winky tattooed that eye with a jab mostly. He was never really hurt by winky at all in that fight.

You'll see, just wait and remember this thread. Taylor doesn't have the best footwork and his jab can be worked on, but it still comes with a lot of pop. Winky comes at you with a method, he strategizes using his angles. Miranda just comes, no champion is getting beat like that. Hopkins and wright are legends in this sport, Ouma got whooped on the whole fight and he is more technically sound than Miranda. Taylor didn't look like a defensive wizard against wright or Ouma, but Miranda aint neither one them. He can't do what they can do, atleast not yet. He needs a lot of work and something else besides that right hand to set that right hand up. It is not like he is very fast and can throw it and land at will. he needs to develop a jab, learn to cut off the ring, develop body work, and learn to use his left. ima tryna tell you, he ain't ready.

I think Manny will have him box and stay in the middle of the ring, but also think he should throw combos to go with that jab and stay off the ropes. which shouldn't be toohard since Miranda doesn't really know how to cut off the ring. Alan Green is no Taylor and he would have won if he did what he did in the 8th and conditioned better.

all fighter get stunned and have to blink their eyes a few times, but that doesn't man they are barely on their feet and in trouble. Taylor was in trouble when he fought Hopkins and if you are in trouble fighting everyone then I agree your chin should be criticized. but Hopkins ain't everyone, he is one of the greatest MW in history.
